Rapporté par Hafsa رضي الله عنها d’après Umm 'Atiyya رضي الله عنها : Un hadith similaire a été rapporté, sauf que le Prophète ﷺ leur a demandé de laver son corps : « trois, cinq, sept fois, ou plus si vous le jugez nécessaire. » Hafsa a également rapporté d’après Umm 'Atiyya : Nous avons tressé ses cheveux en trois nattes

وَحَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ، عَنْ أُمِّ عَطِيَّةَ، . بِنَحْوِهِ غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ " ثَلاَثًا أَوْ خَمْسًا أَوْ سَبْعًا أَوْ أَكْثَرَ مِنْ ذَلِكِ إِنْ رَأَيْتُنَّ ذَلِكِ " . فَقَالَتْ حَفْصَةُ عَنْ أُمِّ عَطِيَّةَ وَجَعَلْنَا رَأْسَهَا ثَلاَثَةَ قُرُونٍ .
Traduction anglaise
A hadith like this has been transmitted by Hafsa on the authority of Umm 'Atiyya with the exception (of these words that the Prophet asked them to wash her dead body):" three times, five times, seven times, or more than that, if you deem fit:" Hafsa (further) said on the authority of Umm 'Atiyya: We braided (the hair) of her head in three plaits

۔ حماد نے ایوب سے ، انھوں نے حفصہ سے اور انھوں نے حجرت ام عطیہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا سے اس ( سابقہ حدیث ) کی طرح روایت بیان کی ، اس کے سوا کہ آپ نے فر ما یا : " تین ، پانچ سات یا اگر تمھاری رائے ہو تو اس سے زائد بار ( غسل دینا ۔ ) حفصہ نے ام عطیہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا سے کہا : ہم نے ان کے سر ( کے بالوں ) کی تین گندھی ہو ئی لٹیں بنا دیں ۔
