Hadith 2153 — Livre 11: The Book of Prayer - Funerals
كتاب الجنائز
Rapporté par Hisham b. ‘Urwa, d’après son père : On mentionna à ‘Aïcha la parole d’Ibn ‘Umar : « Le défunt serait puni à cause des lamentations de sa famille sur lui. » Elle dit : « Qu’Allah fasse miséricorde à Abu ‘Abd al-Rahman (le surnom d’Ibn ‘Umar), il a entendu quelque chose mais ne l’a pas bien retenu. En réalité, le cercueil d’un Juif passa devant le Messager d’Allah ﷺ alors que sa famille se lamentait sur lui. Il dit alors : “Vous pleurez et il est en train d’être puni.” »

وَحَدَّثَنَا خَلَفُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، وَأَبُو الرَّبِيعِ الزَّهْرَانِيُّ، جَمِيعًا عَنْ حَمَّادٍ، - قَالَ خَلَفٌ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، - عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ ذُكِرَ عِنْدَ عَائِشَةَ قَوْلُ ابْنِ عُمَرَ الْمَيِّتُ يُعَذَّبُ بِبُكَاءِ أَهْلِهِ عَلَيْهِ . فَقَالَتْ رَحِمَ اللَّهُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ سَمِعَ شَيْئًا فَلَمْ يَحْفَظْهُ إِنَّمَا مَرَّتْ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم جَنَازَةُ يَهُودِيٍّ وَهُمْ يَبْكُونَ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالَ " أَنْتُمْ تَبْكُونَ وَإِنَّهُ لَيُعَذَّبُ " .
Traduction anglaise
Hisham b. 'Urwa narrated on the authority of his father that the saying of Ibn 'Umar, viz." The dead would be punished because of the lamentation of his family over him" was mentioned to 'A'isha. Upon this she said:May Allah have mercy upon Abu 'Abd al-Rahman (the kunya of Ibn 'Umar) that he heard something but could not retain it (well). (The fact is) that the bier of a Jew passed before the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and (the members of his family) were waiting over him. Upon this he said: You are wailing and he is being punished
Traduction en ourdou
حماد بن زید نے ہشام بن عروہ سے انھوں نے اپنے والد سے روا یت کی انھوں نے کہا : حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا کے سامنے حضرت ابن عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کا روایت کردہ قول بیان کیا گیا : میت کو اس کے گھر والوں کے رونے سے عذاب دیا جا تا ہے تو انھوں نے کہا : اللہ عبد الرحمٰن پر رحم فر ما ئے انھوں نے ایک چیز کو سنا لیکن ( پوری طرح ) محفوظ نہ رکھا ( امرواقع یہ ہے کہ ) رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے سامنے ایک یہودی کا جنا زہ گزرا اور وہ لو گ اس پر رو رہے تھے تو آپ نے فر ما یا : " تم رو رہے ہو اور اسے عذاب دیا جا رہا ہے ۔
