كتاب الإيمان
Rapporté par Anas b. Malik رضي الله عنه : Lorsque ce verset a été révélé : « Ô vous qui croyez, n’élevez pas vos voix au-dessus de celle du Prophète, ne lui parlez pas à voix haute comme vous le faites entre vous, de peur que vos actions ne soient annulées sans que vous vous en rendiez compte » (49:2-5), Thabit b. Qais s’est enfermé chez lui en disant : « Je fais partie des gens du Feu », et il a évité de venir voir le Prophète ﷺ. Le Prophète ﷺ a demandé à Sa’d b. Mu’adh : « Abu Amr, comment va Thabit ? Est-il malade ? » Sa’d a répondu : « C’est mon voisin, mais je ne sais rien de sa maladie. » Sa’d est allé voir Thabit et lui a transmis le message du Prophète ﷺ. Thabit a dit : « Ce verset a été révélé, et tu sais bien que j’ai la voix la plus forte parmi vous quand je parle au Messager d’Allah, donc je fais partie des gens du Feu. » Sa’d a informé le Prophète ﷺ, qui a dit : « Non, il fait partie des gens du Paradis. »

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ الْبُنَانِيِّ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الآيَةُ { يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لاَ تَرْفَعُوا أَصْوَاتَكُمْ فَوْقَ صَوْتِ النَّبِيِّ} إِلَى آخِرِ الآيَةِ جَلَسَ ثَابِتُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ فِي بَيْتِهِ وَقَالَ أَنَا مِنْ أَهْلِ النَّارِ . وَاحْتَبَسَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَسَأَلَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم سَعْدَ بْنَ مُعَاذٍ فَقَالَ " يَا أَبَا عَمْرٍو مَا شَأْنُ ثَابِتٍ أَشْتَكَى " . قَالَ سَعْدٌ إِنَّهُ لَجَارِي وَمَا عَلِمْتُ لَهُ بِشَكْوَى . قَالَ فَأَتَاهُ سَعْدٌ فَذَكَرَ لَهُ قَوْلَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ ثَابِتٌ أُنْزِلَتْ هَذِهِ الآيَةُ وَلَقَدْ عَلِمْتُمْ أَنِّي مِنْ أَرْفَعِكُمْ صَوْتًا عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَأَنَا مِنْ أَهْلِ النَّارِ . فَذَكَرَ ذَلِكَ سَعْدٌ لِلنَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " بَلْ هُوَ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ " .
Traduction anglaise
It is narrated on the authority of Anas b. Malik that when this verse:" O ye who believe I raise not your voices above the voice of the Prophet, nor shout loud unto him in discourse, as ye shout loud unto one another, lest your deeds should become null and void, while you perceive not" (xlix. 2-5), was revealed. Thabit b. Qais confined himself in his house and said: I am one of the denizens of Fire, and he deliberately avoided coming to the Apostle (ﷺ). The Apostle (ﷺ) asked Sa'd b, Mu'adh about him and said, Abu Amr, how is Thabit? Has he fallen sick? Sa'd said: He is my neighbour, but I do not know of his illness. Sa'd came to him (Thabit), and conveyed to him the message of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ). Upon this Thabit said: This verse was revealed, and you are well aware of the fact that, amongst all of you, mine is the voice louder than that of the Messenger of Allah, and so I am one amongst the denizens of Fire, Sa'd Informed the Prophet about it. Upon this the Messenger of Allah observed: (Nay, not so) but he (Thabit) is one of the dwellers of Paradise
Traduction en ourdou
حماد بن سلمہ نے ثابت بنانی سے حدیث سنائی ، انہوں نے حضرت انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت کی ، انہوں نے کہا : جب یہ آیت اتری : ﴿ يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تَرْفَعُوا أَصْوَاتَكُمْ فَوْقَ صَوْتِ النَّبِيِّ﴾’’ اے ایمان والو ! اپنی آوازیں نبی ﷺ کی آواز سے اونچی مت کرو ۔ ‘ ‘ آیت کے آخر تک ۔ تو ثابت بن قیس رضی اللہ عنہ اپنےگھر میں بیٹھ گئے اور کہنے لگے : میں تو جہنمی ہوں ۔ انہوں نے ( خودکو ) نبی ﷺ ( کی خدمت میں حاضر ہونے ) سے بھی روک لیا ، رسول ا للہ ﷺنے سعد بن معاذ رضی اللہ عنہ سے پوچھا : ’’ ابو عمرو! ثابت کو کیا ہوا ؟ کیا و ہ بیمار ہیں ؟ ‘ ‘ سعد رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا : وہ میرے پڑوسی ہیں اورمجھے ان کی کسی بیماری کا پتہ نہیں چلا ۔ حضرت انس نے کہا : اس کے بعد سعد ، ثابت رضی اللہ عنہما کے پاس آئے اور رسول اللہ ﷺ کی بات بتائی تو ثابت کہنے لگے : یہ آیت اتر چکی ہے اور تم جانتے ہو کہ تم سب میں میری آواز رسول اللہ ﷺ کی آواز سے زیادہ بلند ہے ، اس بنا پر میں جہنمی ہوں ۔ سعد رضی اللہ عنہ نے اس ( جواب ) کا ذکر نبی ﷺ سے کیا تو رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا : ’’ بلکہ وہ تو اہل جنت میں سے ہے ۔ ‘ ‘
