كتاب الإيمان
Rapporté par Abu Dharr رضي الله عنه : J’ai dit : « Messager d’Allah, quelle est la meilleure des actions ? » Le Prophète ﷺ a répondu : « La foi en Allah et le jihad dans Son chemin. » J’ai demandé : « Quel est l’esclave dont l’affranchissement est le meilleur ? » Il a répondu : « Celui qui a de la valeur pour son maître et dont le prix est élevé. » J’ai dit : « Et si je n’en ai pas les moyens ? » Il a répondu : « Aide un artisan ou fabrique quelque chose pour un ouvrier qui ne sait rien faire. » J’ai dit : « Messager d’Allah, tu vois que je ne peux pas faire certaines de ces choses. » Il a répondu : « Abstiens-toi de faire du mal aux gens. C’est une aumône de ta part envers toi-même. »

حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الرَّبِيعِ الزَّهْرَانِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا خَلَفُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، - وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ - حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي مُرَاوِحٍ اللَّيْثِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ، قَالَ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَىُّ الأَعْمَالِ أَفْضَلُ قَالَ " الإِيمَانُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْجِهَادُ فِي سَبِيلِهِ " . قَالَ قُلْتُ أَىُّ الرِّقَابِ أَفْضَلُ قَالَ " أَنْفَسُهَا عِنْدَ أَهْلِهَا وَأَكْثَرُهَا ثَمَنًا " . قَالَ قُلْتُ فَإِنْ لَمْ أَفْعَلْ قَالَ " تُعِينُ صَانِعًا أَوْ تَصْنَعُ لأَخْرَقَ " . قَالَ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ ضَعُفْتُ عَنْ بَعْضِ الْعَمَلِ قَالَ " تَكُفُّ شَرَّكَ عَنِ النَّاسِ فَإِنَّهَا صَدَقَةٌ مِنْكَ عَلَى نَفْسِكَ " .
Traduction anglaise
Abu Dharr reported:I said: Messenger of Allah, which of the deeds is the best? He (the Holy Prophet) replied: Belief in Allah and Jihad in His cause. I again asked: Who is the slave whose emancipation is the best? He (the Holy Prophet) replied: One who is valuable for his master and whose price is high. I said: If I can't afford to do it? He (the Holy Prophet) replied: Help an artisan or make anything for the unskilled (labourer). I (Abu Dharr) said: Messenger of Allah, you see that I am helpless in doing some of these deeds. He (the Holy Prophet) replied: Desist from doing mischief to the people. That is the charity of your person on your behalf
Traduction en ourdou
ہشام بن عروہ نے اپنے والد ( عروہ ) سے ، انہوں نے ابو مراوح لیثی سے اور انہون نے حضرت ابو ذر رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت کی ، کہا ، میں نے پوچھا : اے اللہ کے رسول ! کو ن سا عمل افضل ہے ؟ آپﷺ : ’’ اللہ پر ایمان لانا اور اس کی راہ میں جہاد کرنا ۔ ‘ ‘ کہا : میں ( پھر ) پوچھا : کون سی گردن ( آزادکرنا ) افضل ہے ؟ آپ نے فرمایا : ’’ جو اس کے مالکوں کی نظر میں زیادہ نفیس اور زیادہ قیمتی ہو ۔ ‘ ‘ کہا : میں نے پوچھا : اگر میں یہ کام نہ کر سکوں تو ؟ آپ نے فرمایا : ’’ کسی کاریگر کی مدد کرو یا کسی اناڑی کا کام ( خود ) کر دو ۔ ‘ ‘ میں نے پوچھا : اے اللہ کے رسول ! آپ غور فرمائیں اگر میں ایسے کسی کام کی طاقت نہ رکھتا ہوں تو؟ آپ نے فرمایا : ’’ لوگوں سے اپنا شر روک لو ( انہیں تکلیف نہ پہنچاؤ ) یہ تمہاری طرف سے خود تمہارے لیے صدقہ ہے ۔ ‘ ‘
