Rapporté par Salim d’après son père رضي الله عنه : Le Prophète ﷺ a entendu un homme critiquer son frère à propos de la pudeur. Le Prophète ﷺ a alors dit : « La pudeur fait partie de la foi. »

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، وَعَمْرٌو النَّاقِدُ، وَزُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، قَالُوا حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، سَمِعَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم رَجُلاً يَعِظُ أَخَاهُ فِي الْحَيَاءِ فَقَالَ " الْحَيَاءُ مِنَ الإِيمَانِ " .
Traduction anglaise
Salim reported on the authority of his father that the Prophet (may peace and blessings be upon him) heard a man censuring his brother regarding modesty. Upon this the Prophet remarked:Modesty is part of Iman (faith)

سفیان بن عیینہ نے زہری سے حدیث سنائی ، انہوں نے سالم سے اور انہوں نے اپنے والد حضرت عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہ سےروایت کی کہ نبی اکرم ﷺ نے ایک آدمی سے سنا جو اپنے بھائی کو حیا کے بارے میں نصیحت کر رہا تھا تو آپ نے فرمایا : ’’ ( حیا سے مت روکو ) حیا ایمان میں سے ہے ۔ ‘ ‘
