Hadith 143 — Livre 1: The Book of Faith
كتاب الإيمان
Rapporté par Mu’adh ibn Jabal رضي الله عنه : J’étais assis derrière le Prophète ﷺ sur sa monture, il n’y avait rien entre lui et moi sauf l’arrière de la selle. Il m’appela : « Mu’adh ibn Jabal ! » Je répondis : « Me voici, ô Messager d’Allah ! » Il avança un peu puis m’appela de nouveau, et je répondis de la même façon. Il recommença une troisième fois. Puis il dit : « Sais-tu quel est le droit d’Allah sur Ses serviteurs ? » Je répondis : « Allah et Son Messager savent mieux. » Il dit : « Le droit d’Allah sur Ses serviteurs est qu’ils L’adorent sans rien Lui associer. » Il avança encore un peu puis dit : « Sais-tu quels droits les serviteurs ont sur Allah s’ils font cela ? » Je répondis : « Allah et Son Messager savent mieux. » Il dit : « C’est qu’Il ne les châtiera pas. »

حَدَّثَنَا هَدَّابُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الأَزْدِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ، حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ، قَالَ كُنْتُ رِدْفَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم لَيْسَ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَهُ إِلاَّ مُؤْخِرَةُ الرَّحْلِ فَقَالَ " يَا مُعَاذَ بْنَ جَبَلٍ " . قُلْتُ لَبَّيْكَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَسَعْدَيْكَ . ثُمَّ سَارَ سَاعَةً ثُمَّ قَالَ " يَا مُعَاذَ بْنَ جَبَلٍ " . قُلْتُ لَبَّيْكَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَسَعْدَيْكَ . ثُمَّ سَارَ سَاعَةَ ثُمَّ قَالَ " يَا مُعَاذَ بْنَ جَبَلٍ " . قُلْتُ لَبَّيْكَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَسَعْدَيْكَ . قَالَ " هَلْ تَدْرِي مَا حَقُّ اللَّهِ عَلَى الْعِبَادِ " . قَالَ قُلْتُ اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ . قَالَ " فَإِنَّ حَقَّ اللَّهِ عَلَى الْعِبَادِ أَنْ يَعْبُدُوهُ وَلاَ يُشْرِكُوا بِهِ شَيْئًا " . ثُمَّ سَارَ سَاعَةً ثُمَّ قَالَ " يَا مُعَاذَ بْنَ جَبَلٍ " . قُلْتُ لَبَّيْكَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَسَعْدَيْكَ . قَالَ " هَلْ تَدْرِي مَا حَقُّ الْعِبَادِ عَلَى اللَّهِ إِذَا فَعَلُوا ذَلِكَ " . قَالَ قُلْتُ اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ . قَالَ " أَنْ لاَ يُعَذِّبَهُمْ " .
Traduction anglaise
It is narrated on the authority of Mu'adh b. Jabal:I was riding behind the Prophet (ﷺ) and there was nothing between him and me but the rear part of the saddle, when he said: Mu'adh b. Jabal: To which I replied: At your beck and call, and at your pleasure, Messenger of Allah! He moved along for a few minutes, when again he said: Mu'adh b. Jabal: To which I replied: At your beck and call, and at your pleasure, Messenger of Allah! He then again moved along for a few minutes and said: Mu'adh b. Jabal: To which I replied. At your beck and call, and at your pleasure. Messenger of Allah He, (the Holy Prophet) said: Do you know what right has Allah upon His servants? I said: Allah and His Messenger know best. He (the Holy Prophet) said: Verily the right of Allah over His servants is that they should worship Him, not associating anything with Him. He (the Holy Prophet) with Mu'adh behind him, moved along for a few minutes and said: Mu'adh b. Jabal: To which I replied: At your beck and call, and at your pleasure, Messenger of Allah! He (the Holy Prophet) said: Do you know what rights have servants upon Allah in case they do it (i. e. they worship Allah without associating anything with Him)? I (Mu'adh b. Jabal) replied: Allah and His Messenger know best. (Upon this) he (the Holy Prophet) remarked: That He would not torment them (with the fire of Hell)
Traduction en ourdou
سیدنا انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ نے حضرت معاذ بن جبل رضی اللہ عنہ سے یہ حدیث روایت کی ، کہا : میں ( سواری کے ایک جانور پر ) رسول اللہ ﷺ کے پیچھے سوار تھا ، میرے اور آپ کے درمیان کجاوے کے پچھلے حصے کی لکڑی ( جتنی جگہ ) کے سوا کچھ نہ تھا ، چنانچہ ( اس موقع پر ) آپﷺ نے فرمایا : ’’اے معاذ بن جبل! ‘ ‘ میں نے عرض کی : میں حاضر ہوں اللہ کے رسول !ز ہے نصیب ۔ ( اس کے بعد ) آپ پھر گھڑی بھرچلتے رہے ، اس کے بعد فرمایا : ’’ اے معاذ بن جبل ! ‘ ‘ میں نے عرض کی : میں حاضر ہوں ، اللہ کے رسول ! زہے نصیب ۔ آپ نے فرمایا : ’’ کیاجانتے ہو کہ بندوں پر ا للہ عز وجل کا کیا حق ہے ؟ ‘ ‘ کہا : میں نے عرض کی : اللہ اور اس کا رسول زیادہ آگاہ ہیں ۔ ارشاد فرمایا : ’’ بندوں پر اللہ عزوجل کا حق یہ ہے کہ اس کی بندگی کریں اور اس کے ساتھ کسی کو شریک نہ کرین ۔ ‘ ‘ پھر کچھ دیر چلنے کے بعد فرمایا : ’’ اے معاذ بن جبل ! ‘ ‘ میں عرض کی : میں حاضر ہوں اللہ کے رسول ! ز ہے نصیب ۔ آپ نے فرمایا : ’’کیا آپ جانتے ہو کہ جب بندے اللہ کاحق ادا کریں تو پھر ا للہ پر ان کا حق کیا ہے ؟ ‘ ‘ میں نے عرض کی ، اللہ اور اس کا رسول ہی زیادہ جاننے والے ہیں ۔ آپ نے فرمایا : ’’ یہ کہ وہ انہیں عذاب نہ دے ۔ ‘ ‘
