كتاب الإيمان
Rapporté par Anas ibn Malik رضي الله عنه : Nous avions reçu l’interdiction de demander quoi que ce soit au Prophète ﷺ sans réelle nécessité. C’est pourquoi nous étions contents lorsqu’une personne intelligente des habitants du désert venait lui poser des questions et que nous pouvions écouter ses réponses. Un homme du désert est venu voir le Prophète ﷺ et a dit : « Muhammad, ton messager est venu chez nous et nous a rapporté que tu affirmes qu’Allah t’a envoyé comme prophète. » Le Prophète ﷺ répondit : « Il a dit la vérité. » L’homme demanda : « Qui a créé le ciel ? » Le Prophète ﷺ répondit : « Allah. » L’homme demanda encore : « Qui a créé la terre ? » Le Prophète ﷺ répondit : « Allah. » L’homme demanda encore : « Qui a dressé ces montagnes et créé ce qui s’y trouve ? » Le Prophète ﷺ répondit : « Allah. » L’homme dit alors : « Par Celui qui a créé le ciel, la terre et les montagnes, est-ce vraiment Allah qui t’a envoyé ? » Le Prophète ﷺ répondit : « Oui. » L’homme dit : « Ton messager nous a aussi dit que cinq prières sont obligatoires pour nous chaque jour et chaque nuit. » Le Prophète ﷺ répondit : « Il a dit la vérité. » L’homme demanda : « Par Celui qui t’a envoyé, est-ce Allah qui t’a ordonné cela (les prières) ? » Le Prophète ﷺ répondit : « Oui. » L’homme dit : « Ton messager nous a dit que la Zakat est obligatoire sur nos biens. » Le Prophète ﷺ répondit : « Il a dit la vérité. » L’homme demanda : « Par Celui qui t’a envoyé, est-ce Allah qui t’a ordonné cela (la Zakat) ? » Le Prophète ﷺ répondit : « Oui. » L’homme dit : « Ton messager nous a dit que le jeûne du mois de Ramadan est obligatoire chaque année. » Le Prophète ﷺ répondit : « Il a dit la vérité. » L’homme demanda : « Par Celui qui t’a envoyé, est-ce Allah qui t’a ordonné cela (le jeûne du Ramadan) ? » Le Prophète ﷺ répondit : « Oui. » L’homme dit : « Ton messager nous a aussi dit que le pèlerinage à la Maison (Ka’bah) est obligatoire pour celui qui en a la capacité. » Le Prophète ﷺ répondit : « Oui. » Le narrateur raconte que l’homme du désert partit, mais avant de partir, il déclara : « Par Celui qui t’a envoyé avec la vérité, je n’ajouterai rien à cela et je n’en retirerai rien. » Le Prophète ﷺ dit alors : « S’il tient parole, il entrera au Paradis. »

حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ بُكَيْرٍ النَّاقِدُ، حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ أَبُو النَّضْرِ، حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ الْمُغِيرَةِ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ نُهِينَا أَنْ نَسْأَلَ، رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَنْ شَىْءٍ فَكَانَ يُعْجِبُنَا أَنْ يَجِيءَ الرَّجُلُ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْبَادِيَةِ الْعَاقِلُ فَيَسْأَلَهُ وَنَحْنُ نَسْمَعُ فَجَاءَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْبَادِيَةِ فَقَالَ يَا مُحَمَّدُ أَتَانَا رَسُولُكَ فَزَعَمَ لَنَا أَنَّكَ تَزْعُمُ أَنَّ اللَّهَ أَرْسَلَكَ قَالَ " صَدَقَ " . قَالَ فَمَنْ خَلَقَ السَّمَاءَ قَالَ " اللَّهُ " . قَالَ فَمَنْ خَلَقَ الأَرْضَ قَالَ " اللَّهُ " . قَالَ فَمَنْ نَصَبَ هَذِهِ الْجِبَالَ وَجَعَلَ فِيهَا مَا جَعَلَ . قَالَ " اللَّهُ " . قَالَ فَبِالَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمَاءَ وَخَلَقَ الأَرْضَ وَنَصَبَ هَذِهِ الْجِبَالَ آللَّهُ أَرْسَلَكَ قَالَ " نَعَمْ " . قَالَ وَزَعَمَ رَسُولُكَ أَنَّ عَلَيْنَا خَمْسَ صَلَوَاتٍ فِي يَوْمِنَا وَلَيْلَتِنَا . قَالَ " صَدَقَ " . قَالَ فَبِالَّذِي أَرْسَلَكَ آللَّهُ أَمْرَكَ بِهَذَا قَالَ " نَعَمْ " . قَالَ وَزَعَمَ رَسُولُكَ أَنَّ عَلَيْنَا زَكَاةً فِي أَمْوَالِنَا . قَالَ " صَدَقَ " . قَالَ فَبِالَّذِي أَرْسَلَكَ آللَّهُ أَمْرَكَ بِهَذَا قَالَ " نَعَمْ " . قَالَ وَزَعَمَ رَسُولُكَ أَنَّ عَلَيْنَا صَوْمَ شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ فِي سَنَتِنَا . قَالَ " صَدَقَ " . قَالَ فَبِالَّذِي أَرْسَلَكَ آللَّهُ أَمَرَكَ بِهَذَا قَالَ " نَعَمْ " . قَالَ وَزَعَمَ رَسُولُكَ أَنَّ عَلَيْنَا حَجَّ الْبَيْتِ مَنِ اسْتَطَاعَ إِلَيْهِ سَبِيلاً . قَالَ " صَدَقَ " . قَالَ ثُمَّ وَلَّى . قَالَ وَالَّذِي بَعَثَكَ بِالْحَقِّ لاَ أَزِيدُ عَلَيْهِنَّ وَلاَ أَنْقُصُ مِنْهُنَّ . فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم " لَئِنْ صَدَقَ لَيَدْخُلَنَّ الْجَنَّةَ " .
Traduction anglaise
It is reported on the authority of Anas b. Malik that he said:We were forbidden that we should ask anything (without the genuine need) from the Holy Prophet. It, therefore, pleased us that an intelligent person from the dwellers of the desert should come and asked him (the Holy Prophet) and we should listen to it. A man from the dwellers of the desert came (to the Holy Prophet) and said: Muhammad, your messenger came to us and told us your assertion that verily Allah had sent you (as a prophet). He (the Holy Prophet) remarked: He told the truth. He (the bedouin) said: Who created the heaven? He (the Holy Prophet) replied: Allah. He (the bedouin again) said: Who created the earth? He (the Holy Prophet) replied: Allah. He (the bedouin again) said: Who raised these mountains and who created in them whatever is created there? He (the Holy Prophet) replied: Allah. Upon this he (the bedouin) remarked: By Him Who created the heaven and created the earth and raised mountains thereupon, has Allah (in fact) sent you? He (the Holy Prophet) said: Yes. He (the bedouin) said: Your messenger also told us that five prayers (had been made) obligatory for us during the day and the night. He (the Holy Prophet) remarked: He told you the truth. He (the bedouin) said: By Him Who sent you, is it Allah Who ordered you about this (i. e. prayers)? He (the Holy Prophet) said: Yes. He (the bedouin) said: Your messenger told us that Zakat had been made obligatory in our riches. He (the Holy Prophet) said. He has told the truth. He (the bedouin) said: By Him Who sent you (as a prophet), is it Allah Who ordered you about it (Zakat)? He (the Holy Prophet) said: Yes. He (the bedouin) said: Your messenger told us that it had been made obligatory for us to fast every year during the month of Ramadan. He (the Holy Prophet) said: He has told the truth. He (the bedouin) said: By Him Who sent you (as a prophet), is it Allah Who ordered you about it (the fasts of Ramadan)? He (the Holy Prophet) said: Yes. He (the bedouin) said: Your messenger also told us that pilgrimage (Hajj) to the House (of Ka'bah) had been made obligatory for him who is able to undertake the journey to it. He (the Holy Prophet) said: Yes. The narrator said that he (the bedouin) set off (at the conclusion of this answer, but at the time of his departure) remarked: 'By Him Who sent you with the Truth, I would neither make any addition to them nor would I diminish anything out of them. Upon this the Prophet remarked: If he were true (to what he said) he must enter Paradise

ہاشم بن قاسم ابونضر نے کہا : ہمیں سلیمان بن مغیرہ نے ثابت کے حوالے سے یہ حدیث سنائی ، انہوں نے حضرت انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت کی کہ ہمیں رسول اللہ ﷺ سے ( غیر ضروری طور پر ) کسی چیز کے بارے میں سوال کرنے سے روک دیا گیا تو ہمیں بہت اچھا لگتا تھا کہ کوئی سمجھ دار بادیہ نشیں آپ کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا اور آپ سے سوال کرے اور ہم ( بھی جواب ) سنیں ، چنانچہ ایک بدوی آیا اور کہنے لگا ، اے محمد ( ﷺ ) ! آپ کا قاصد ہمارے پاس آیا تھا ، اس نے ہم سے کہا کہ آپ نے فرماتے ہیں : اللہ تعالیٰ نے آپ کو رسول بنا کر بھیجا ہے ۔ آپ نے فرمایا : ’’ اس نے سچ کہا ۔ ‘ ‘ اس نے پوچھا : آسمان کس نے بنایا ہے ؟ آپ نے جواب دیا : ’’ اللہ نے ۔ ‘ ‘ اس نےکہا : زمین کس نےبنائی ؟ آپ نے فرمایا : ’’اللہ نے ۔ ‘ ‘ اس نے سوال کیا : یہ پہاڑ کس نے گاڑے ہیں اور ان میں جو کچھ رکھا ہے کس نے رکھا ہے ؟ آپ نے فرمایا : ’’ اللہ نے ۔ ‘ ‘ بدوی نے کہا : اس ذات کی قسم ہے جس نے آسمان بنایا ، زمین بنائی اور یہ پہاڑ نصب کیے ! کیا اللہ ہی نے آپ کو ( رسول بنا کر ) بھیجا ہے ؟ آپ نے جواب دیا : ’’ ہاں! ‘ ‘ اس نے کہا : آپ کے قاصد نے بتایا ہے کہ ہمارے دن او رات میں پانچ نمازیں ہیں ۔ آپ نے فرمایا : ’’اس نے درست کہا ۔ ‘ ‘ اس نے کہا : اس ذات کی قسم جس نے آپ کو بھیجا ہے ! کیا اللہ ہی نے آپ کو اس کاحکم دیا ہے ؟ آپ نے جواب دیا : ’’ہاں ! ‘ ‘ اس نے کہا : آپ کو ایلچی کا خیال ہے کہ ہمارے ذمے ہمارے مالوں کی زکاۃ ہے ۔ آپ نے فرمایا : ’’ اس نے سچ کہا ۔ ‘ ‘ بدوی نے کہا : ا س ذات کی قسم جس نے آپ کو رسول بنا یا ! کیا اللہ ہی نے آپ کو یہ حکم دیا ہے ؟ آپ نے جواب دیا : ’’ہاں ! ‘ ‘ اعرابی نے کہا : آپ کو ایلچی کا خیال ہے کہ ہمارے سال میں ہمارے ذمے ماہ رمضان کے روزے ہیں ۔ آپ نے فرمایا : ’’ اس نے صحیح کہا ۔ ‘ ‘ اس نے کہا : اس ذات کی قسم جس نے آپ کو بھیجا ہے ! کیا للہ ہی نے آپ کو اس کاحکم دیا ہے ؟ آپ نے فرمایا : ’’ہاں ! ‘ ‘ وہ کہنے لگا : آپ کے بھیجے ہوئے ( قاصد ) کا خیال ہے کہ ہم پر بیت اللہ کا حج فرض ہے ، اس شخص پر جو اس کے راستے ( کو طے کرنے ) کی استطاعت رکھتا ہو ۔ آپ نے فرمایا ، ’’ اس نے سچ کہا ۔ ‘ ‘ ( حضرت انس رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا : ) پھر وہ واپس چل پڑا اور ( چلتے چلتے ) کہا : اس ذات کی قسم جس نے آپ کو حق کے ساتھ بھیجا ہے! میں ان پر کوئی اضافہ کروں گا نہ ان میں کوئی کمی کروں گا ۔ اس پر نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا : ’’اگر اس نے سچ کر دکھایا تو یقیناً جنت میں داخل ہو گا ۔ ‘ ‘
