Rapporté par Ibn al-Mubārak رحمه الله : « Baqiyyah bin al-Walīd est honnête dans ses propos, mais il rapporte des hadiths aussi bien de personnes fiables que de personnes faibles. »

ابن قہزاذ نے کہا ، میں نے وہب سے سنا ، انہوں نے سفیان سے اور انہوں نے عبد اللہ بن مبارک سے روایت کی ، کہا : بقیہ زبان کے سچے ہیں لیکن وہ ہر آنے جانے والے ( علم حدیث میں مہارت رکھنے والے اور نہ رکھنے والے ہر شخص ) سے حدیث لے لیتے ہیں ۔
