كتاب الاعتصام بالكتاب والسنة
Rapporté par Jabir bin `Abdullah : Je suis tombé malade, et le Messager d'Allah (ﷺ) et Abu Bakr sont venus me rendre visite à pied. Le Prophète (ﷺ) est venu vers moi alors que j'étais inconscient. Le Messager d'Allah (ﷺ) a fait ses ablutions, puis il a versé l'eau restante de ses ablutions sur moi, ce qui m'a fait reprendre connaissance. J'ai alors dit : « Ô Messager d'Allah (ﷺ) ! Comment dois-je dépenser ma richesse ? Ou comment dois-je en disposer ? » Mais le Prophète (ﷺ) ne m'a pas répondu jusqu'à ce que le verset sur les lois de l'héritage soit révélé

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ الْمُنْكَدِرِ، يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، يَقُولُ مَرِضْتُ فَجَاءَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَعُودُنِي وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ وَهُمَا مَاشِيَانِ، فَأَتَانِي وَقَدْ أُغْمِيَ عَلَىَّ فَتَوَضَّأَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ثُمَّ صَبَّ وَضُوءَهُ عَلَىَّ فَأَفَقْتُ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ وَرُبَّمَا قَالَ سُفْيَانُ فَقُلْتُ أَىْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ كَيْفَ أَقْضِي فِي مَالِي كَيْفَ أَصْنَعُ فِي مَالِي قَالَ فَمَا أَجَابَنِي بِشَىْءٍ حَتَّى نَزَلَتْ آيَةُ الْمِيرَاثِ.
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Jabir bin `Abdullah:I fell ill, Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and Abu Bakr came to visit me on foot. The Prophet (ﷺ) came to me while I was unconscious. Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) performed ablution and poured the Remaining water of his ablution over me whereupon I became conscious and said, 'O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! How should I spend my wealth? Or how should I deal with my wealth?" But the Prophet (ﷺ) did not give me any reply till the Verse of the laws of inheritance was revealed

ہم سے علی بن عبداللہ مدینی نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے سفیان نے بیان کیا، کہا میں نے محمد بن المنکدر سے سنا، بیان کیا کہ میں نے جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہما سے سنا، انہوں نے بیان کیا کہ میں بیمار پڑا تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اور ابوبکر رضی اللہ عنہ عیادت کے لیے تشریف لائے۔ یہ دونوں بزرگ پیدل چل کر آئے تھے، پھر نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم پہنچے تو مجھ پر بے ہوشی طاری تھی۔ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے وضو کیا اور وضو کا پانی مجھ پر چھڑکا، اس سے مجھے افاقہ ہوا تو میں نے عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! اور بعض اوقات سفیان نے یہ الفاظ بیان کئے کہ میں نے کہا: یا رسول اللہ! میں اپنے مال کے بارے میں کس طرح فیصلہ کروں، میں اپنے مال کا کیا کروں؟ بیان کیا کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے کوئی جواب نہیں دیا، یہاں تک کہ میراث کی آیت نازل ہوئی۔
