Hadith 7149 — Livre 93: Judgments (Ahkaam)

Rapporté par Abu Musa : Deux hommes de ma tribu et moi sommes allés voir le Prophète. L’un des deux a dit au Prophète : « Ô Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) ! Nomme-moi gouverneur », et le second a demandé la même chose. Le Prophète (ﷺ) a dit : « Nous ne confions pas le pouvoir à ceux qui le demandent, ni à ceux qui y tiennent. »

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلاَءِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، عَنْ بُرَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ دَخَلْتُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنَا وَرَجُلاَنِ مِنْ قَوْمِي فَقَالَ أَحَدُ الرَّجُلَيْنِ أَمِّرْنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ. وَقَالَ الآخَرُ مِثْلَهُ. فَقَالَ " إِنَّا لاَ نُوَلِّي هَذَا مَنْ سَأَلَهُ، وَلاَ مَنْ حَرَصَ عَلَيْهِ ".
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Abu Musa:Two men from my tribe and I entered upon the Prophet. One of the two men said to the Prophet, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! Appoint me as a governor," and so did the second. The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "We do not assign the authority of ruling to those who ask for it, nor to those who are keen to have it
Traduction en ourdou
ہم سے محمد بن علاء نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے ابواسامہ نے بیان کیا، ان سے بریدہ نے، ان سے ابوبردہ نے اور ان سے ابوموسیٰ رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا کہ میں نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی خدمت میں اپنی قوم کے دو آدمیوں کو لے کر حاضر ہوا۔ ان میں سے ایک نے کہا کہ یا رسول اللہ! ہمیں کہیں کا حاکم بنا دیجئیے اور دوسرے نے بھی یہی خواہش ظاہر کی۔ اس پر نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ ہم ایسے شخص کو یہ ذمہ داری نہیں سونپتے جو اسے طلب کرے اور نہ اسے دیتے ہیں جو اس کا حریص ہو۔
