Hadith 558 — Livre 9: Times of the Prayers
كتاب مواقيت الصلاة
Rapporté par Abu Musa : Le Prophète (ﷺ) a dit : « L’exemple des musulmans, des juifs et des chrétiens est comme celui d’un homme qui a embauché des ouvriers pour travailler pour lui du matin au soir. Ils ont travaillé jusqu’à midi puis ont dit : ‘Nous n’avons pas besoin de ta récompense.’ Alors l’homme a embauché un autre groupe et leur a dit : ‘Finissez le reste de la journée et vous aurez le salaire que j’avais fixé pour le premier groupe.’ Ils ont travaillé jusqu’à la prière du `Asr puis ont dit : ‘Tout ce que nous avons fait est pour toi.’ Il a embauché un autre groupe. Ils ont travaillé le reste de la journée jusqu’au coucher du soleil, et ils ont reçu le salaire des deux premiers groupes. »

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، عَنْ بُرَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم " مَثَلُ الْمُسْلِمِينَ وَالْيَهُودِ وَالنَّصَارَى كَمَثَلِ رَجُلٍ اسْتَأْجَرَ قَوْمًا يَعْمَلُونَ لَهُ عَمَلاً إِلَى اللَّيْلِ، فَعَمِلُوا إِلَى نِصْفِ النَّهَارِ، فَقَالُوا لاَ حَاجَةَ لَنَا إِلَى أَجْرِكَ، فَاسْتَأْجَرَ آخَرِينَ فَقَالَ أَكْمِلُوا بَقِيَّةَ يَوْمِكُمْ، وَلَكُمُ الَّذِي شَرَطْتُ، فَعَمِلُوا حَتَّى إِذَا كَانَ حِينَ صَلاَةِ الْعَصْرِ قَالُوا لَكَ مَا عَمِلْنَا. فَاسْتَأْجَرَ قَوْمًا فَعَمِلُوا بَقِيَّةَ يَوْمِهِمْ حَتَّى غَابَتِ الشَّمْسُ، وَاسْتَكْمَلُوا أَجْرَ الْفَرِيقَيْنِ ".
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Abu Musa:The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "The example of Muslims, Jews and Christians is like the example of a man who employed laborers to work for him from morning till night. They worked till midday and they said, 'We are not in need of your reward.' So the man employed another batch and said to them, 'Complete the rest of the day and yours will be the wages I had fixed (for the first batch). They worked until the time of the `Asr prayer and said, 'Whatever we have done is for you.' He employed another batch. They worked for the rest of the day till sunset, and they received the wages of the two former batches

ہم سے ابوکریب محمد بن علاء نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے ابواسامہ نے برید بن عبداللہ کے واسطہ سے بیان کیا، انہوں نے ابوبردہ عامر بن عبداللہ سے، انہوں نے اپنے باپ ابوموسیٰ اشعری عبداللہ بن قیس رضی اللہ عنہ سے۔ انہوں نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے کہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ مسلمانوں اور یہود و نصاری کی مثال ایک ایسے شخص کی سی ہے کہ جس نے کچھ لوگوں سے مزدوری پر رات تک کام کرنے کے لیے کہا۔ انہوں نے آدھے دن کام کیا۔ پھر جواب دے دیا کہ ہمیں تمہاری اجرت کی ضرورت نہیں، ( یہ یہود تھے ) پھر اس شخص نے دوسرے مزدور بلائے اور ان سے کہا کہ دن کا جو حصہ باقی بچ گیا ہے ( یعنی آدھا دن ) اسی کو پورا کر دو۔ شرط کے مطابق مزدوری تمہیں ملے گی۔ انہوں نے بھی کام شروع کیا لیکن عصر تک وہ بھی جواب دے بیٹھے۔ ( یہ نصاریٰ تھے ) پس اس تیسرے گروہ نے ( جو اہل اسلام ہیں ) پہلے دو گروہوں کے کام کی پوری مزدوری لے لی۔
