Rapporté par Sahl bin Sa`d : J’ai assisté à une affaire de Lian (le cas d’un homme qui accuse sa femme d’adultère) quand j’avais quinze ans. Le Prophète (ﷺ) a ordonné qu’ils divorcent, et le mari a dit : « Si je la gardais, je serais un menteur. » Je me souviens aussi qu’Az-Zubair a dit : « (On a dit) que si cette femme donnait naissance à un enfant avec telle description, son mari aurait dit la vérité, mais si l’enfant avait telle autre description, ressemblant à un Wahra (un insecte rouge), il aurait menti. » J’ai aussi entendu Az-Zubair dire : « Finalement, elle a accouché d’un enfant dont la description ne plaisait pas à son mari. »

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيٌّ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، قَالَ الزُّهْرِيُّ عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، قَالَ شَهِدْتُ الْمُتَلاَعِنَيْنِ وَأَنَا ابْنُ خَمْسَ، عَشْرَةَ، فَرَّقَ بَيْنَهُمَا فَقَالَ زَوْجُهَا كَذَبْتُ عَلَيْهَا إِنْ أَمْسَكْتُهَا. قَالَ فَحَفِظْتُ ذَاكَ مِنَ الزُّهْرِيِّ " إِنْ جَاءَتْ بِهِ كَذَا وَكَذَا فَهْوَ، وَإِنْ جَاءَتْ بِهِ كَذَا وَكَذَا كَأَنَّهُ وَحَرَةٌ فَهُوَ ". وَسَمِعْتُ الزُّهْرِيَّ يَقُولُ جَاءَتْ بِهِ لِلَّذِي يُكْرَهُ
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Sahl bin Sa`d:I witnessed the case of Lian (the case of a man who charged his wife for committing illegal sexual intercourse when I was fifteen years old. The Prophet (ﷺ) ordered that they be divorced, and the husband said, "If I kept her, I would be a liar." I remember that Az-Zubair also said, "(It was said) that if that woman brought forth the child with such-and-such description, her husband would prove truthful, but if she brought it with such-and-such description looking like a Wahra (a red insect), he would prove untruthful." I heard Az-Zubair also saying, "Finally she gave birth to a child of description which her husband disliked

ہم سے علی نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے سفیان ثوری نے بیان کیا، ان سے زہری نے بیان کیا اور ان سے سہل بن سعد رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا کہ میں نے دو لعان کرنے والے میاں بیوی کو دیکھا تھا۔ اس وقت میری عمر پندرہ سال تھی۔ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے دونوں کے درمیان جدائی کرا دی تھی۔ شوہر نے کہا تھا کہ اگر اب بھی میں ( اپنی بیوی کو ) اپنے ساتھ رکھوں تو اس کا مطلب یہ ہے کہ میں جھوٹا ہوں۔ سفیان نے بیان کیا کہ میں نے زہری سے یہ روایت محفوظ رکھی ہے کہ ”اگر اس عورت کے ایسا بچہ پیدا ہوا تو شوہر سچا ہے اور اگر اس کے ایسا ایسا بچہ پیدا ہوا جیسے چھپکلی ہوتی ہے تو شوہر جھوٹا ہے۔“ اور میں نے زہری سے سنا، انہوں نے بیان کیا کہ اس عورت نے اس آدمی کے ہم شکل بچہ جنا جو میری طرح کا تھا۔
