Hadith 6816 — Livre 86: Limits and Punishments set by Allah (Hudood)

Rapporté par Abu Huraira : Un homme est venu voir le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) alors qu’il était dans la mosquée et l’a interpellé en disant : « Ô Messager d’Allah ! J’ai commis un rapport sexuel interdit. » Le Prophète (ﷺ) a détourné son visage, mais l’homme a répété sa déclaration quatre fois. Après avoir témoigné contre lui-même à quatre reprises, le Prophète (ﷺ) l’a appelé et lui a dit : « Es-tu fou ? » L’homme a répondu : « Non. » Le Prophète (ﷺ) a demandé : « Es-tu marié ? » L’homme a dit : « Oui. » Alors le Prophète (ﷺ) a dit : « Emmenez-le et lapidez-le à mort. » Jabir bin `Abdullah a dit : J’étais parmi ceux qui ont participé à la lapidation et nous l’avons lapidé à la Musalla. Quand les pierres l’ont fait souffrir, il a tenté de fuir, mais nous l’avons rattrapé à Al-Harra et nous l’avons lapidé à mort

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ عُقَيْلٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، وَسَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ أَتَى رَجُلٌ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَهْوَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ فَنَادَاهُ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنِّي زَنَيْتُ. فَأَعْرَضَ عَنْهُ، حَتَّى رَدَّدَ عَلَيْهِ أَرْبَعَ مَرَّاتٍ، فَلَمَّا شَهِدَ عَلَى نَفْسِهِ أَرْبَعَ شَهَادَاتٍ، دَعَاهُ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ " أَبِكَ جُنُونٌ ". قَالَ لاَ. قَالَ " فَهَلْ أَحْصَنْتَ ". قَالَ نَعَمْ. فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم " اذْهَبُوا بِهِ فَارْجُمُوهُ ". قَالَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ فَأَخْبَرَنِي مَنْ، سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ فَكُنْتُ فِيمَنْ رَجَمَهُ فَرَجَمْنَاهُ بِالْمُصَلَّى، فَلَمَّا أَذْلَقَتْهُ الْحِجَارَةُ هَرَبَ، فَأَدْرَكْنَاهُ بِالْحَرَّةِ فَرَجَمْنَاهُ.
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Abu Huraira:A man came to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) while he was in the mosque, and he called him, saying, "O Allah's Apostle! I have committed illegal sexual intercourse.'" The Prophet (ﷺ) turned his face to the other side, but that man repeated his statement four times, and after he bore witness against himself four times, the Prophet (ﷺ) called him, saying, "Are you mad?" The man said, "No." The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Are you married?" The man said, "Yes." Then the Prophet (ﷺ) said, 'Take him away and stone him to death." Jabir bin `Abdullah said: I was among the ones who participated in stoning him and we stoned him at the Musalla. When the stones troubled him, he fled, but we over took him at Al-Harra and stoned him to death
