Rapporté par `Aisha : Les gens de Quraish étaient très inquiets à propos d’une femme de la tribu Makhzumiya qui avait volé. Ils ont dit : « Personne ne peut parler au Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) en faveur de cette femme, sauf Usama, le préféré du Messager d’Allah (ﷺ). » Quand Usama a parlé au Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) de cette affaire, le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) a dit : « Interviens-tu auprès de moi pour enfreindre une des peines légales d’Allah ? » Puis il s’est levé et a parlé aux gens : « Ô gens ! Les nations avant vous se sont égarées parce que, si une personne noble volait, ils la laissaient, mais si une personne faible volait, ils lui appliquaient la peine légale. Par Allah, si Fatima, la fille de Muhammad, volait, Muhammad lui couperait la main. »

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ـ رضى الله عنها أَنَّ قُرَيْشًا، أَهَمَّتْهُمُ الْمَرْأَةُ الْمَخْزُومِيَّةُ الَّتِي سَرَقَتْ فَقَالُوا مَنْ يُكَلِّمُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَمَنْ يَجْتَرِئُ عَلَيْهِ إِلاَّ أُسَامَةُ حِبُّ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم. فَكَلَّمَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ " أَتَشْفَعُ فِي حَدٍّ مِنْ حُدُودِ اللَّهِ ". ثُمَّ قَامَ فَخَطَبَ قَالَ " يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّمَا ضَلَّ مَنْ قَبْلَكُمْ أَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا إِذَا سَرَقَ الشَّرِيفُ تَرَكُوهُ، وَإِذَا سَرَقَ الضَّعِيفُ فِيهِمْ أَقَامُوا عَلَيْهِ الْحَدَّ، وَايْمُ اللَّهِ لَوْ أَنَّ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتَ مُحَمَّدٍ سَرَقَتْ لَقَطَعَ مُحَمَّدٌ يَدَهَا ".
Traduction anglaise
Narrated `Aisha:The Quraish people became very worried about the Makhzumiya lady who had committed theft. They said, "Nobody can speak (in favor of the lady) to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and nobody dares do that except Usama who is the favorite of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ). " When Usama spoke to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) about that matter, Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "Do you intercede (with me) to violate one of the legal punishment of Allah?" Then he got up and addressed the people, saying, "O people! The nations before you went astray because if a noble person committed theft, they used to leave him, but if a weak person among them committed theft, they used to inflict the legal punishment on him. By Allah, if Fatima, the daughter of Muhammad committed theft, Muhammad will cut off her hand

ہم سے سعید بن سلیمان نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا ہم سے لیث نے بیان کیا، ان سے ابن شہاب نے بیان کیا، ان سے عروہ نے بیان کیا اور ان سے عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے بیان کیا کہ ایک مخزومی عورت کا معاملہ جس نے چوری کی تھی، قریش کے لوگوں کے لیے اہمیت اختیار کر گیا اور انہوں نے کہا کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے اس معاملہ میں کون بات کر سکتا ہے اسامہ رضی اللہ عنہ کے سوا، جو نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو بہت پیارے ہیں اور کوئی آپ سے سفارش کی ہمت نہیں کر سکتا؟ چنانچہ اسامہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے بات کی تو نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ”کیا تم اللہ کی حدوں میں سفارش کرنے آئے ہو۔“ پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کھڑے ہوئے اور خطبہ دیا اور فرمایا ”اے لوگو! تم سے پہلے کے لوگ اس لیے گمراہ ہو گئے کہ جب ان میں کوئی بڑا آدمی چوری کرتا تو اسے چھوڑ دیتے لیکن اگر کمزور چوری کرتا تو اس پر حد قائم کرتے تھے اور اللہ کی قسم! اگر فاطمہ بنت محمد نے بھی چوری کی ہوتی تو محمد ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) اس کا ہاتھ ضرور کاٹ ڈالتے۔
