كتاب الأيمان والنذور
Rapporté par `Abdullah : On a demandé au Prophète (ﷺ) : « Qui sont les meilleures personnes ? » Il a répondu : « Les gens de ma génération, puis ceux qui viendront après eux, puis ceux qui viendront après ces derniers. Ensuite, il y aura des gens dont le témoignage précédera leur serment et dont le serment passera avant leur témoignage. » Ibrahim (un des rapporteurs) a ajouté : « Quand nous étions jeunes, nos aînés nous interdisaient de jurer en disant : ‘Je jure par Allah’ ou ‘Par l’Alliance d’Allah’. »

حَدَّثَنَا سَعْدُ بْنُ حَفْصٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَبِيدَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ سُئِلَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَىُّ النَّاسِ خَيْرٌ قَالَ " قَرْنِي، ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ، ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ، ثُمَّ يَجِيءُ قَوْمٌ تَسْبِقُ شَهَادَةُ أَحَدِهِمْ يَمِينَهُ، وَيَمِينُهُ شَهَادَتَهُ ". قَالَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ وَكَانَ أَصْحَابُنَا يَنْهَوْنَا وَنَحْنُ غِلْمَانٌ أَنْ نَحْلِفَ بِالشَّهَادَةِ وَالْعَهْدِ.
Traduction anglaise
Narrated `Abdullah:The Prophet (ﷺ) was asked, "Who are the best people?" He replied: The people of my generation, and then those who will follow (come after) them, and then those who will come after the later; after that there will come some people whose witness will precede their oaths and their oaths will go ahead of their witness." Ibrahim (a sub-narrator) said, "When we were young, our elder friends used to prohibit us from taking oaths by saying, 'I bear witness swearing by Allah, or by Allah's Covenant

ہم سے سعد بن حفص نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے شیبان نے بیان کیا، ان سے منصور نے، ان سے ابراہیم نے، ان سے عبیدہ نے اور ان سے عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے پوچھا گیا کہ کون لوگ اچھے ہیں۔ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ میرا زمانہ، پھر وہ لوگ جو اس سے قریب ہوں گے پھر وہ لوگ جو اس سے قریب ہوں گے۔ اس کے بعد ایک ایسی قوم پیدا ہو گی جس کی گواہی قسم سے پہلے زبان پر آ جایا کرے گی اور قسم گواہی سے پہلے۔ ابراہیم نے کہا کہ ہمارے اساتذہ جب ہم کم عمر تھے تو ہمیں قسم کھانے سے منع کیا کرتے تھے کہ ہم گواہی یا عہد میں قسم کھائیں۔
