Rapporté par Abu Huraira : Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ a dit : « Allah a des anges qui cherchent ceux qui font Ses louanges sur les routes et les chemins. Quand ils trouvent des gens qui célèbrent les louanges d’Allah, ils s’appellent entre eux : ‘Venez à ce que vous cherchez.’ » Il ajouta : « Alors les anges les entourent de leurs ailes jusqu’au ciel de ce monde. » Il ajouta : « (Après que ces gens ont célébré les louanges d’Allah et que les anges repartent), leur Seigneur demande (à ces anges)—bien qu’Il sache mieux qu’eux—: ‘Que disent Mes serviteurs ?’ Les anges répondent : ‘Ils disent : Subhan Allah, Allahu Akbar et Alhamdulillah.’ Allah dit : ‘M’ont-ils vu ?’ Les anges répondent : ‘Non ! Par Allah, ils ne T’ont pas vu.’ Allah dit : ‘Comment auraient-ils été s’ils M’avaient vu ?’ Les anges répondent : ‘S’ils T’avaient vu, ils T’auraient adoré avec encore plus de dévotion, auraient encore plus célébré Ta grandeur et T’auraient encore plus reconnu comme unique.’ Allah dit (aux anges) : ‘Que Me demandent-ils ?’ Les anges répondent : ‘Ils Te demandent le Paradis.’ Allah dit (aux anges) : ‘L’ont-ils vu ?’ Les anges disent : ‘Non ! Par Allah, ô Seigneur ! Ils ne l’ont pas vu.’ Allah dit : ‘Comment auraient-ils été s’ils l’avaient vu ?’ Les anges disent : ‘S’ils l’avaient vu, ils le désireraient encore plus, le chercheraient avec plus d’ardeur et en auraient encore plus envie.’ Allah dit : ‘De quoi cherchent-ils protection ?’ Les anges répondent : ‘Ils cherchent protection contre le Feu (de l’Enfer).’ Allah dit : ‘L’ont-ils vu ?’ Les anges disent : ‘Non ! Par Allah, ô Seigneur ! Ils ne l’ont pas vu.’ Allah dit : ‘Comment auraient-ils été s’ils l’avaient vu ?’ Les anges disent : ‘S’ils l’avaient vu, ils s’enfuiraient encore plus et en auraient une peur extrême.’ Alors Allah dit : ‘Je vous prends à témoin que Je leur ai pardonné.’ » Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ ajouta : « Un des anges dira : ‘Il y avait untel parmi eux, mais il n’était pas vraiment avec eux ; il était juste venu pour un besoin.’ Allah dira : ‘Ce sont des gens dont les compagnons ne seront pas malheureux.’ »

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " إِنَّ لِلَّهِ مَلاَئِكَةً يَطُوفُونَ فِي الطُّرُقِ، يَلْتَمِسُونَ أَهْلَ الذِّكْرِ، فَإِذَا وَجَدُوا قَوْمًا يَذْكُرُونَ اللَّهَ تَنَادَوْا هَلُمُّوا إِلَى حَاجَتِكُمْ. قَالَ فَيَحُفُّونَهُمْ بِأَجْنِحَتِهِمْ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ الدُّنْيَا. قَالَ فَيَسْأَلُهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ وَهْوَ أَعْلَمُ مِنْهُمْ مَا يَقُولُ عِبَادِي قَالُوا يَقُولُونَ يُسَبِّحُونَكَ، وَيُكَبِّرُونَكَ، وَيَحْمَدُونَكَ وَيُمَجِّدُونَكَ. قَالَ فَيَقُولُ هَلْ رَأَوْنِي قَالَ فَيَقُولُونَ لاَ وَاللَّهِ مَا رَأَوْكَ. قَالَ فَيَقُولُ وَكَيْفَ لَوْ رَأَوْنِي قَالَ يَقُولُونَ لَوْ رَأَوْكَ كَانُوا أَشَدَّ لَكَ عِبَادَةً، وَأَشَدَّ لَكَ تَمْجِيدًا، وَأَكْثَرَ لَكَ تَسْبِيحًا. قَالَ يَقُولُ فَمَا يَسْأَلُونِي قَالَ يَسْأَلُونَكَ الْجَنَّةَ. قَالَ يَقُولُ وَهَلْ رَأَوْهَا قَالَ يَقُولُونَ لاَ وَاللَّهِ يَا رَبِّ مَا رَأَوْهَا. قَالَ يَقُولُ فَكَيْفَ لَوْ أَنَّهُمْ رَأَوْهَا قَالَ يَقُولُونَ لَوْ أَنَّهُمْ رَأَوْهَا كَانُوا أَشَدَّ عَلَيْهَا حِرْصًا، وَأَشَدَّ لَهَا طَلَبًا، وَأَعْظَمَ فِيهَا رَغْبَةً. قَالَ فَمِمَّ يَتَعَوَّذُونَ قَالَ يَقُولُونَ مِنَ النَّارِ. قَالَ يَقُولُ وَهَلْ رَأَوْهَا قَالَ يَقُولُونَ لاَ وَاللَّهِ مَا رَأَوْهَا. قَالَ يَقُولُ فَكَيْفَ لَوْ رَأَوْهَا قَالَ يَقُولُونَ لَوْ رَأَوْهَا كَانُوا أَشَدَّ مِنْهَا فِرَارًا، وَأَشَدَّ لَهَا مَخَافَةً. قَالَ فَيَقُولُ فَأُشْهِدُكُمْ أَنِّي قَدْ غَفَرْتُ لَهُمْ. قَالَ يَقُولُ مَلَكٌ مِنَ الْمَلاَئِكَةِ فِيهِمْ فُلاَنٌ لَيْسَ مِنْهُمْ إِنَّمَا جَاءَ لِحَاجَةٍ. قَالَ هُمُ الْجُلَسَاءُ لاَ يَشْقَى بِهِمْ جَلِيسُهُمْ ". رَوَاهُ شُعْبَةُ عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ وَلَمْ يَرْفَعْهُ. وَرَوَاهُ سُهَيْلٌ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم.
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Abu Huraira:Allah's Apostle said, "Allah has some angels who look for those who celebrate the Praises of Allah on the roads and paths. And when they find some people celebrating the Praises of Allah, they call each other, saying, "Come to the object of your pursuit.' " He added, "Then the angels encircle them with their wings up to the sky of the world." He added. "(after those people celebrated the Praises of Allah, and the angels go back), their Lord, asks them (those angels)----though He knows better than them----'What do My slaves say?' The angels reply, 'They say: Subhan Allah, Allahu Akbar, and Alham-du-li l-lah, Allah then says 'Did they see Me?' The angels reply, 'No! By Allah, they didn't see You.' Allah says, How it would have been if they saw Me?' The angels reply, 'If they saw You, they would worship You more devoutly and celebrate Your Glory more deeply, and declare Your freedom from any resemblance to anything more often.' Allah says (to the angels), 'What do they ask Me for?' The angels reply, 'They ask You for Paradise.' Allah says (to the angels), 'Did they see it?' The angels say, 'No! By Allah, O Lord! They did not see it.' Allah says, How it would have been if they saw it?' The angels say, 'If they saw it, they would have greater covetousness for it and would seek It with greater zeal and would have greater desire for it.' Allah says, 'From what do they seek refuge?' The angels reply, 'They seek refuge from the (Hell) Fire.' Allah says, 'Did they see it?' The angels say, 'No By Allah, O Lord! They did not see it.' Allah says, How it would have been if they saw it?' The angels say, 'If they saw it they would flee from it with the extreme fleeing and would have extreme fear from it.' Then Allah says, 'I make you witnesses that I have forgiven them."' Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) added, "One of the angels would say, 'There was so-and-so amongst them, and he was not one of them, but he had just come for some need.' Allah would say, 'These are those people whose companions will not be reduced to misery

ہم سے قتیبہ بن سعید نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے جریر بن عبدالحمید نے بیان کیا، ان سے اعمش نے، ان سے ابوصالح نے اور ان سے ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ”اللہ کے کچھ فرشتے ایسے ہیں جو راستوں میں پھرتے رہتے ہیں اور اللہ کی یاد کرنے والوں کو تلاش کرتے رہتے ہیں۔ پھر جہاں وہ کچھ ایسے لوگوں کو پا لیتے ہیں کہ جو اللہ کا ذکر کرتے ہوتے ہیں تو ایک دوسرے کو آواز دیتے ہیں کہ آؤ ہمارا مطلب حاصل ہو گیا۔ پھر وہ پہلے آسمان تک اپنے پروں سے ان پر امنڈتے رہتے ہیں۔ پھر ختم پر اپنے رب کی طرف چلے جاتے ہیں۔ پھر ان کا رب ان سے پوچھتا ہے…. حالانکہ وہ اپنے بندوں کے متعلق خوب جانتا ہے…. کہ میرے بندے کیا کہتے تھے؟ وہ جواب دیتے ہیں کہ وہ تیری تسبیح پڑھتے تھے، تیری کبریائی بیان کرتے تھے، تیری حمد کرتے تھے اور تیری بڑائی کرتے تھے۔ پھر اللہ تعالیٰ پوچھتا ہے کیا انہوں نے مجھے دیکھا ہے؟ کہا کہ وہ جواب دیتے ہیں نہیں، واللہ! انہوں نے تجھے نہیں دیکھا۔ اس پر اللہ تعالیٰ فرماتا ہے، پھر ان کا اس وقت کیا حال ہوتا جب وہ مجھے دیکھے ہوئے ہوتے؟ وہ جواب دیتے ہیں کہ اگر وہ تیرا دیدار کر لیتے تو تیری عبادت اور بھی بہت زیادہ کرتے، تیری بڑائی سب سے زیادہ بیان کرتے، تیری تسبیح سب سے زیادہ کرتے۔ پھر اللہ تعالیٰ دریافت کرتا ہے، پھر وہ مجھ سے کیا مانگتے ہیں؟ فرشتے کہتے ہیں کہ وہ جنت مانگتے ہیں۔ بیان کیا کہ اللہ تعالیٰ دریافت کرتا ہے کیا انہوں نے جنت دیکھی ہے؟ فرشتے جواب دیتے ہیں نہیں، واللہ اے رب! انہوں نے تیری جنت نہیں دیکھی۔ بیان کیا کہ اللہ تعالیٰ دریافت کرتا ہے ان کا اس وقت کیا عالم ہوتا اگر انہوں نے جنت کو دیکھا ہوتا؟ فرشتے جواب دیتے ہیں کہ اگر انہوں نے جنت کو دیکھا ہوتا تو وہ اس سے اور بھی زیادہ خواہشمند ہوتے، سب سے بڑھ کر اس کے طلب گار ہوتے۔ پھر اللہ تعالیٰ پوچھتا ہے کہ وہ کس چیز سے پناہ مانگتے ہیں؟ فرشتے جواب دیتے ہیں، دوزخ سے۔ اللہ تعالیٰ پوچھتا ہے کیا انہوں نے جہنم دیکھا ہے؟ وہ جواب دیتے ہیں نہیں، واللہ، انہوں نے جہنم کو دیکھا نہیں ہے۔ اللہ تعالیٰ فرماتا ہے، پھر اگر انہوں نے اسے دیکھا ہوتا تو ان کا کیا حال ہوتا؟ وہ جواب دیتے ہیں کہ اگر انہوں نے اسے دیکھا ہوتا تو اس سے بچنے میں وہ سب سے آگے ہوتے اور سب سے زیادہ اس سے خوف کھاتے۔ اس پر اللہ تعالیٰ فرماتا ہے کہ میں تمہیں گواہ بناتا ہوں کہ میں نے ان کی مغفرت کی۔ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ اس پر ان میں سے ایک فرشتے نے کہا کہ ان میں فلاں بھی تھا جو ان ذاکرین میں سے نہیں تھا، بلکہ وہ کسی ضرورت سے آ گیا تھا۔ اللہ تعالیٰ ارشاد فرماتا ہے کہ یہ ( ذاکرین ) وہ لوگ ہیں جن کی مجلس میں بیٹھنے والا بھی نامراد نہیں رہتا۔ اس حدیث کو شعبہ نے بھی اعمش سے روایت کیا لیکن اس کو مرفوع نہیں کیا۔ اور سہیل نے بھی اس کو اپنے والدین ابوصالح سے روایت کیا، انہوں نے ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے، انہوں نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے۔
