Rapporté par Anas bin Malik : Le Prophète d’Allah avait l’habitude de dire : « Ô Allah ! Je cherche protection auprès de Toi contre l’incapacité et la paresse, contre la lâcheté et la vieillesse extrême, et je cherche protection auprès de Toi contre le châtiment de la tombe, et je cherche protection auprès de Toi contre les épreuves de la vie et de la mort. »

Texte arabe original
حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا الْمُعْتَمِرُ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبِي قَالَ، سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ يَقُولُ كَانَ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ " اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْعَجْزِ وَالْكَسَلِ، وَالْجُبْنِ وَالْهَرَمِ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ فِتْنَةِ الْمَحْيَا وَالْمَمَاتِ ".
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Anas bin Malik:Allah's Prophet used to say, "O Allah! I seek refuge with You from incapacity and laziness, from cowardice and geriatric old age, and seek refuge with You from the punishment of the grave, and I seek refuge with You from the afflictions of life and death

ہم سے مسدد بن مسرہد نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے معتمر بن سلیمان نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ میں نے اپنے والد سے سنا، بیان کیا کہ میں نے انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ سے سنا، انہوں نے بیان کیا کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کہا کرتے تھے «اللهم إني أعوذ بك من العجز والكسل، والجبن والهرم، وأعوذ بك من عذاب القبر، وأعوذ بك من فتنة المحيا والممات» ”اے اللہ! میں تیری پناہ مانگتا ہوں عاجزی سے، سستی سے، بزدلی سے اور بہت زیادہ بڑھاپے سے اور میں تیری پناہ مانگتا ہوں زندگی اور موت کی آزمائشوں سے۔“
