Rapporté par Ibn ‘Abbas : J’ai passé la nuit dans la maison de Maymouna et le Prophète ﷺ était là. Quand arriva le dernier tiers de la nuit, ou une partie, il se leva, regarda vers le ciel et récita : « En vérité, dans la création des cieux et de la terre… » (sourate 3, verset)

حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي شَرِيكٌ، عَنْ كُرَيْبٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ قَالَ بِتُّ فِي بَيْتِ مَيْمُونَةَ وَالنَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم عِنْدَهَا، فَلَمَّا كَانَ ثُلُثُ اللَّيْلِ الآخِرُ أَوْ بَعْضُهُ قَعَدَ فَنَظَرَ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ فَقَرَأَ {إِنَّ فِي خَلْقِ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ وَاخْتِلاَفِ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ لآيَاتٍ لأُولِي الأَلْبَابِ}.
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Ibn `Abbas:Once I stayed overnight at the house of Maimuna and the Prophet (ﷺ) was there with her. When it was the last third of the night, or some part of the night, the Prophet (ﷺ) got up looking towards the sky and recited: 'Verily! In the creation of the heavens and the earth, and in the alternation of Night and Day, there are indeed signs for men of u understanding

ہم سے ابن ابی مریم نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے محمد بن جعفر نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ مجھے شریک نے خبر دی، انہیں کریب نے اور ان سے ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما نے بیان کیا کہ میں نے ایک رات میمونہ رضی اللہ عنہا ( خالہ ) کے گھر گزاری، نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم بھی اس رات وہیں ٹھہرے ہوئے تھے۔ جب رات کا آخری تہائی حصہ ہوا یا اس کا بعض حصہ رہ گیا تو نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اٹھ بیٹھے اور آسمان کی طرف دیکھا پھر اس آیت کی تلاوت کی «إن في خلق السموات والأرض واختلاف الليل والنهار لآيات لأولي الألباب» ”بلاشبہ آسمان کی اور زمین کی پیدائش میں اور دن رات کے بدلتے رہنے میں عقل والوں کے لیے نشانیاں ہیں۔“
