Hadith 6061 — Livre 78: Good Manners and Form (Al-Adab)
كتاب الأدب
Rapporté par Abu Bakra : On a parlé d’un homme devant le Prophète (ﷺ), et un autre l’a beaucoup loué. Le Prophète (ﷺ) a dit : « Qu’Allah te fasse miséricorde ! Tu as coupé le cou de ton ami. » Le Prophète (ﷺ) a répété cette phrase plusieurs fois puis a dit : « Si l’un de vous doit absolument faire l’éloge de quelqu’un, qu’il dise : “Je pense qu’il est comme ceci ou comme cela”, s’il en est vraiment convaincu. Allah est Celui qui jugera ses actes, car Lui seul connaît la réalité, et personne ne peut déclarer quelqu’un pur devant Allah. » (Khalid a dit : « Malheur à toi » au lieu de « Qu’Allah te fasse miséricorde »)

حَدَّثَنَا آدَمُ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّ رَجُلاً، ذُكِرَ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَأَثْنَى عَلَيْهِ رَجُلٌ خَيْرًا، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم " وَيْحَكَ قَطَعْتَ عُنُقَ صَاحِبِكَ ـ يَقُولُهُ مِرَارًا ـ إِنْ كَانَ أَحَدُكُمْ مَادِحًا لاَ مَحَالَةَ فَلْيَقُلْ أَحْسِبُ كَذَا وَكَذَا. إِنْ كَانَ يُرَى أَنَّهُ كَذَلِكَ، وَحَسِيبُهُ اللَّهُ، وَلاَ يُزَكِّي عَلَى اللَّهِ أَحَدًا ". قَالَ وُهَيْبٌ عَنْ خَالِدٍ " وَيْلَكَ ".
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Abu Bakra:A man was mentioned before the Prophet (ﷺ) and another man praised him greatly The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "May Allah's Mercy be on you ! You have cut the neck of your friend." The Prophet (ﷺ) repeated this sentence many times and said, "If it is indispensable for anyone of you to praise someone, then he should say, 'I think that he is so-and-so," if he really thinks that he is such. Allah is the One Who will take his accounts (as He knows his reality) and no-one can sanctify anybody before Allah." (Khalid said, "Woe to you," instead of "Allah's Mercy be on you)
Traduction en ourdou
ہم سے آدم بن ابی ایاس نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے شعبہ نے بیان کیا، ان سے خالد نے، ان سے عبدالرحمٰن بن ابی بکرہ نے، ان سے ان کے والد نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی مجلس میں ایک شخص کا ذکر آیا تو ایک دوسرے شخص نے ان کی مبالغہ سے تعریف کی تو نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ افسوس تم نے اپنے ساتھی کی گردن توڑ دی۔ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے یہ جملہ کئی بار فرمایا، اگر تمہارے لیے کسی کی تعریف کرنی ضروری ہو تو یہ کہنا چاہیئے کہ میں اس کے متعلق ایسا خیال کرتا ہوں، باقی علم اللہ کو ہے وہ ایسا ہے۔ اگر اس کو یہ معلوم ہو کہ وہ ایسا ہی ہے اور یوں نہ کہے کہ وہ اللہ کے نزدیک اچھا ہی ہے۔ اور وہیب نے اسی سند کے ساتھ خالد سے یوں روایت کی ارے تیری خرابی تو نے اس کی گردن کاٹ ڈالی یعنی لفظ «ويحك» کے بجائے لفظ «ويلك» بیان کیا۔
