كتاب اللباس
Rapporté par Anas bin Malik : Le Prophète (ﷺ) n’était ni très grand, ni petit ; il n’était ni très blanc, ni brun. Ses cheveux n’étaient ni très bouclés, ni tout à fait raides. Allah l’a envoyé (comme Messager) à l’âge de quarante ans ; après cela, il est resté dix ans à La Mecque, puis dix autres années à Médine. Allah l’a rappelé à Lui à l’âge de soixante ans, et il n’avait presque pas dix cheveux blancs sur la tête et dans la barbe

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ، عَنْ رَبِيعَةَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَهُ يَقُولُ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم لَيْسَ بِالطَّوِيلِ الْبَائِنِ، وَلاَ بِالْقَصِيرِ، وَلَيْسَ بِالأَبْيَضِ الأَمْهَقِ، وَلَيْسَ بِالآدَمِ، وَلَيْسَ بِالْجَعْدِ الْقَطَطِ، وَلاَ بِالسَّبْطِ، بَعَثَهُ اللَّهُ عَلَى رَأْسِ أَرْبَعِينَ سَنَةً، فَأَقَامَ بِمَكَّةَ عَشْرَ سِنِينَ، وَبِالْمَدِينَةِ عَشْرَ سِنِينَ، وَتَوَفَّاهُ اللَّهُ عَلَى رَأْسِ سِتِّينَ سَنَةً، وَلَيْسَ فِي رَأْسِهِ وَلِحْيَتِهِ عِشْرُونَ شَعَرَةً بَيْضَاءَ.
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Anas bin Malik:The Prophet (ﷺ) was neither conspicuously tall, nor short; neither, very white, nor tawny. His hair was neither much curled, nor very straight. Allah sent him (as an Apostle) at the age of forty (and after that) he stayed for ten years in Mecca, and for ten more years in Medina. Allah took him unto Him at the age of sixty, and he scarcely had ten white hairs on his head and in his beard

ہم سے اسماعیل بن ابی اویس نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ مجھ سے امام مالک بن انس نے بیان کیا، ان سے ربیعہ بن عبدالرحمٰن نے اور ان سے انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ نے، انہوں نے ان سے سنا کہ وہ بیان کر رہے تھے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم بہت لمبے نہیں تھے اور نہ آپ چھوٹے قد کے ہی تھے ( بلکہ آپ کا بیچ والا قد تھا ) نہ آپ بالکل سفید بھورے تھے اور نہ گندم گوں ہی تھے، آپ کے بال گھونگھریالے الجھے ہوئے نہیں تھے اور نہ بالکل سیدھے لٹکے ہوئے تھے۔ اللہ تعالیٰ نے آپ کو چالیس سال کی عمر میں رسول بنایا دس سال آپ نے ( نبوت کے بعد ) مکہ مکرمہ میں قیام کیا اور دس سال مدینہ منورہ میں اور تقریباً ساٹھ سال کی عمر میں اللہ تعالیٰ نے آپ کو وفات دی۔ وفات کے وقت آپ کے سر اور داڑھی میں بیس بال بھی سفید نہیں تھے۔
