Rapporté par Nafi` : Ibn `Umar a dit : Le Prophète (ﷺ) a dit : Faites le contraire de ce que font les polythéistes. Laissez pousser la barbe et raccourcissez la moustache. Chaque fois qu'Ibn `Umar accomplissait le Hajj ou la `Umra, il prenait sa barbe dans sa main et coupait ce qui dépassait

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مِنْهَالٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " خَالِفُوا الْمُشْرِكِينَ، وَفِّرُوا اللِّحَى، وَأَحْفُوا الشَّوَارِبَ ". وَكَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ إِذَا حَجَّ أَوِ اعْتَمَرَ قَبَضَ عَلَى لِحْيَتِهِ، فَمَا فَضَلَ أَخَذَهُ.
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Nafi`:Ibn `Umar said, The Prophet (ﷺ) said, 'Do the opposite of what the pagans do. Keep the beards and cut the moustaches short.' Whenever Ibn `Umar performed the Hajj or `Umra, he used to hold his beard with his hand and cut whatever remained outside his hold
Traduction en ourdou
ہم سے محمد بن منہال نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا ہم سے یزید بن زریع نے، انہوں نے کہا ہم سے عمر بن محمد بن زید نے بیان کیا، ان سے نافع نے اور ان سے عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ”تم مشرکین کے خلاف کرو، داڑھی چھوڑ دو اور مونچھیں کترواؤ۔“ عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما جب حج یا عمرہ کرتے تو اپنی داڑھی ( ہاتھ سے ) پکڑ لیتے اور ( مٹھی ) سے جو بال زیادہ ہوتے انہیں کتروا دیتے۔
