Rapporté par Jabir bin `Abdullah : J’ai entendu le Prophète (ﷺ) dire : « S’il y a un bien dans vos remèdes, il se trouve dans une gorgée de miel, une séance de saignée, ou la cautérisation, mais je n’aime pas être cautérisé. »

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبَانَ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ الْغَسِيلِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَاصِمُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ " إِنْ كَانَ فِي شَىْءٍ مِنْ أَدْوِيَتِكُمْ خَيْرٌ فَفِي شَرْبَةِ عَسَلٍ أَوْ شَرْطَةِ مِحْجَمٍ أَوْ لَذْعَةٍ مِنْ نَارٍ، وَمَا أُحِبُّ أَنْ أَكْتَوِيَ ".
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Jabir bin `Abdullah:I heard the Prophet (ﷺ) saying, "If there is any good in your medicines, then it is in a gulp of honey, a cupping operation, or branding (cauterization), but I do not like to be (cauterized) branded
Traduction en ourdou
ہم سے اسماعیل بن ابان نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا ہم سے عبدالرحمٰن بن غسیل نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا کہ مجھ سے عاصم بن عمر نے بیان کیا، ان سے جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہما نے بیان کیا کہ میں نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے سنا، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ اگر تمہاری دوائیوں میں کوئی بھلائی ہے تو شہد کے شربت میں ہے اور پچھنا لگوانے میں ہے اور آگ سے داغنے میں ہے لیکن میں آگ سے داغ کر علاج کو پسند نہیں کرتا۔
