كتاب الذبائح والصيد
Rapporté par `Amr : J’ai dit à Jabir bin Zaid : « Les gens disent que le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) a interdit de manger la viande d’âne. » Il a répondu : « Al-Hakam bin `Amr Al-Ghifari disait cela quand il était avec nous, mais Ibn `Abbas, le grand savant, refusait de donner un avis définitif et récitait : — Dis : Je ne trouve rien dans ce qui m’a été révélé qui soit interdit à celui qui veut en manger, sauf une bête morte, du sang répandu ou de la viande de porc. »

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، قَالَ عَمْرٌو قُلْتُ لِجَابِرِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ يَزْعُمُونَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم نَهَى عَنْ حُمُرِ الأَهْلِيَّةِ فَقَالَ قَدْ كَانَ يَقُولُ ذَاكَ الْحَكَمُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْغِفَارِيُّ عِنْدَنَا بِالْبَصْرَةِ، وَلَكِنْ أَبَى ذَاكَ الْبَحْرُ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ وَقَرَأَ {قُلْ لاَ أَجِدُ فِيمَا أُوحِيَ إِلَىَّ مُحَرَّمًا}
Traduction anglaise
Narrated `Amr:I said to Jabir bin Zaid, "The people claim that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) forbade the eating of donkey's meat." He said, "Al-Hakam bin `Amr Al-Ghifari used to say so when he was with us, but Ibn `Abbas, the great religious learned man, refused to give a final verdict and recited:-- 'Say: I find not in that which has been inspired to me anything forbidden to be eaten by one who wishes to eat it, unless it be carrion, blood poured forth or the flesh of swine

ہم سے علی بن عبداللہ نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے سفیان نے بیان کیا، ان سے عمرو نے بیان کیا کہ میں نے جابر بن زید رضی اللہ عنہما سے پوچھا کہ لوگوں کا خیال ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے پالتو گدھوں کا گوشت کھانے سے منع کیا تھا؟ انہوں نے کہا کہ حکم بن عمرو غفاری رضی اللہ عنہ نے ہمیں بصرہ میں یہی بتایا تھا لیکن علم کے سمندر ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما نے اس سے انکار کیا اور ( استدلال میں ) اس آیت کی تلاوت کی «قل لا أجد فيما أوحي إلى محرما» ۔
