كتاب الذبائح والصيد
Rapporté par Abu Tha`laba Al-Khushani : Je suis allé voir le Messager d’Allah ﷺ et j’ai dit : « Ô Messager d’Allah ﷺ ! Nous vivons dans le pays des gens du Livre et nous mangeons dans leurs ustensiles. Il y a aussi du gibier dans cette région et je chasse avec mon arc, avec des chiens dressés ou non ; dis-moi ce qui nous est permis. » Il a dit : « Pour ce qui est de vivre chez les gens du Livre et de manger dans leurs ustensiles, si tu peux trouver d’autres ustensiles, n’utilise pas les leurs. Mais si tu n’en trouves pas d’autres, alors lave-les et mange dedans. Pour la chasse, si tu tues un gibier avec ton arc en ayant mentionné le nom d’Allah, tu peux le manger. Si tu chasses avec ton chien dressé et que tu as prononcé le nom d’Allah en l’envoyant, tu peux aussi manger le gibier. Mais si tu chasses avec un chien non dressé et que tu arrives à égorger le gibier avant qu’il ne meure, tu peux en manger. »

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ، عَنْ حَيْوَةَ،. وَحَدَّثَنِي أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَبِي رَجَاءٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سَلَمَةُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُبَارَكِ، عَنْ حَيْوَةَ بْنِ شُرَيْحٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَبِيعَةَ بْنَ يَزِيدَ الدِّمَشْقِيَّ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو إِدْرِيسَ، عَائِذُ اللَّهِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا ثَعْلَبَةَ الْخُشَنِيَّ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ يَقُولُ أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّا بِأَرْضِ قَوْمٍ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ، نَأْكُلُ فِي آنِيَتِهِمْ، وَأَرْضِ صَيْدٍ أَصِيدُ بِقَوْسِي، وَأَصِيدُ بِكَلْبِي الْمُعَلَّمِ، وَالَّذِي لَيْسَ مُعَلَّمًا، فَأَخْبِرْنِي مَا الَّذِي يَحِلُّ لَنَا مِنْ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ " أَمَّا مَا ذَكَرْتَ أَنَّكَ بِأَرْضِ قَوْمٍ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ، تَأْكُلُ فِي آنِيَتِهِمْ، فَإِنْ وَجَدْتُمْ غَيْرَ آنِيَتِهِمْ، فَلاَ تَأْكُلُوا فِيهَا، وَإِنْ لَمْ تَجِدُوا فَاغْسِلُوهَا ثُمَّ كُلُوا فِيهَا، وَأَمَّا مَا ذَكَرْتَ أَنَّكَ بِأَرْضِ صَيْدٍ، فَمَا صِدْتَ بِقَوْسِكَ، فَاذْكُرِ اسْمَ اللَّهِ، ثُمَّ كُلْ، وَمَا صِدْتَ بِكَلْبِكَ الْمُعَلَّمِ، فَاذْكُرِ اسْمَ اللَّهِ، ثُمَّ كُلْ، وَمَا صِدْتَ بِكَلْبِكَ الَّذِي لَيْسَ مُعَلَّمًا فَأَدْرَكْتَ ذَكَاتَهُ، فَكُلْ ".
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Abu Tha`laba Al-Khushani:I came to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and said, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! We are living in the land of the people of the Scripture and we take our meals in their utensils, and in the land there is game and I hunt with my bow and trained or untrained hounds; please tell me what is lawful for us of that." He said, "As for your saying that you are living in the land of the people of the Scripture and that you eat in their utensils, if you can get utensils other than theirs, do not eat in their utensils, but if you do not find (other than theirs), then wash their utensils and eat in them. As for your saying that you are in the land of game, if you hung something with your bow, and have mentioned Allah's Name while hunting, then you can eat (the game). And if you hunt something with your trained hound, and have mentioned Allah's Name on sending it for hunting then you can eat (the game). But if you hunt something with your untrained hound and you were able to slaughter it before its death, you can eat of it

ہم سے ابوعاصم نبیل نے بیان کیا، ان سے حیوہ بن شریح نے (دوسری سند) اور امام بخاری رحمہ اللہ نے کہا، مجھ سے احمد بن ابی رجاء نے بیان کیا، ان سے سلمہ بن سلیمان نے بیان کیا، ان سے عبداللہ بن المبارک نے بیان کیا، ان سے حیوہ بن شریح نے بیان کیا کہ میں نے ربیعہ بن یزید دمشقی سے سنا، کہا کہ مجھے ابوادریس عائذ اللہ نے خبر دی، کہا کہ میں ابوثعلبہ خشنی رضی اللہ عنہ سے سنا، انہوں نے بیان کیا کہ میں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا اور عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! ہم اہل کتاب کے ملک میں رہتے ہیں اور ان کے برتن میں کھاتے ہیں اور ہم شکار کی زمین میں رہتے ہیں، جہاں میں اپنے تیر سے شکار کرتا ہوں اور اپنے سدھائے ہوئے کتے سے۔ تو اس میں سے کیا چیز ہمارے لیے جائز ہے؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا تم نے جو یہ کہا ہے کہ تم اہل کتاب کے ملک میں رہتے ہو اور ان کے برتن میں بھی کھاتے ہو تو اگر تمہیں ان کے برتنوں کے سوا دوسرے برتن مل جائیں تو ان کے برتنوں میں نہ کھاؤ لیکن ان کے برتنوں کے سوا دوسرے برتن نہ ملیں تو انہیں دھو کر پھر ان میں کھاؤ اور تم نے شکار کی سر زمین کا ذکر کیا ہے تو جو شکار تم اپنے تیر سے مارو اور تیر چلاتے وقت اللہ کا نام لیا ہو تو اسے کھاؤ اور جو شکار تم نے اپنے سدھائے ہوئے کتے سے کیا ہو اور اس پر اللہ کا نام لیا ہو تو اسے کھاؤ اور جو شکار تم نے اپنے بلا سدھائے کتے سے کیا ہو اور اسے ذبح بھی خود ہی کیا ہو تو اسے بھی کھاؤ۔
