Rapporté par Ibn `Abbas : Quand le verset : « Et avertis ta famille la plus proche. » (26.214) a été révélé, le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) est sorti, et lorsqu’il est monté sur la montagne d’As-Safa, il a crié : « Ô Sabahah ! » Les gens ont demandé : « Qui est-ce ? » Ils se sont alors rassemblés autour de lui, et il a dit : « Voyez-vous : si je vous informe que des cavaliers montent de ce côté de la montagne, me croirez-vous ? » Ils ont répondu : « Nous ne t’avons jamais entendu mentir. » Il a alors dit : « Je suis pour vous un avertisseur clair d’un châtiment sévère qui approche. » Abu Lahab a dit : « Que tu périsses ! Tu nous as rassemblés seulement pour cela ? » Puis Abu Lahab est parti. Alors la sourate « LAHAB » a été révélée : « Que périssent les mains d’Abu Lahab ! »

حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ مُوسَى، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا الأَعْمَشُ، حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ مُرَّةَ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ قَالَ لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ {وَأَنْذِرْ عَشِيرَتَكَ الأَقْرَبِينَ} وَرَهْطَكَ مِنْهُمُ الْمُخْلَصِينَ، خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم حَتَّى صَعِدَ الصَّفَا فَهَتَفَ " يَا صَبَاحَاهْ ". فَقَالُوا مَنْ هَذَا، فَاجْتَمَعُوا إِلَيْهِ. فَقَالَ " أَرَأَيْتُمْ إِنْ أَخْبَرْتُكُمْ أَنَّ خَيْلاً تَخْرُجُ مِنْ سَفْحِ هَذَا الْجَبَلِ أَكُنْتُمْ مُصَدِّقِيَّ ". قَالُوا مَا جَرَّبْنَا عَلَيْكَ كَذِبًا. قَالَ " فَإِنِّي نَذِيرٌ لَكُمْ بَيْنَ يَدَىْ عَذَابٍ شَدِيدٍ ". قَالَ أَبُو لَهَبٍ تَبًّا لَكَ مَا جَمَعْتَنَا إِلاَّ لِهَذَا ثُمَّ قَامَ فَنَزَلَتْ {تَبَّتْ يَدَا أَبِي لَهَبٍ وَتَبَّ} وَقَدْ تَبَّ هَكَذَا قَرَأَهَا الأَعْمَشُ يَوْمَئِذٍ.
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Ibn `Abbas:When the Verse:-- 'And warn your tribe of near kindred.' (26.214) was revealed. Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) went out, and when he had ascended As-Safa mountain, he shouted, "O Sabahah!" The people said, "Who is that?" "Then they gathered around him, whereupon he said, "Do you see? If I inform you that cavalrymen are proceeding up the side of this mountain, will you believe me?" They said, "We have never heard you telling a lie." Then he said, "I am a plain warner to you of a coming severe punishment." Abu Lahab said, "May you perish! You gathered us only for this reason? " Then Abu Lahab went away. So the "Surat:--ul--LAHAB" 'Perish the hands of Abu Lahab!' (111.1) was revealed

ہم سے یوسف بن موسیٰ نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے ابواسامہ نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے اعمش نے بیان کیا، ان سے عمرو بن مرہ نے بیان کیا، ان سے سعید بن جبیر نے اور ان سے ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما نے بیان کیا کہ جب یہ آیت نازل ہوئی «وأنذر عشيرتك الأقربين» ”آپ اپنے قریبی رشتہ داروں کو ڈرایئے اور اپنے گروہ کے ان لوگوں کو ڈرائیے جو مخلصین ہیں۔“ تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم صفا پہاڑی پر چڑھ گئے اور پکارا: یاصباحاہ! قریش نے کہا یہ کون ہے، پھر وہاں سب آ کر جمع ہو گئے۔ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ان سے فرمایا کہ تمہارا کیا خیال ہے، اگر میں تمہیں بتاؤں کہ ایک لشکر اس پہاڑ کے پیچھے سے آنے والا ہے، تو کیا تم مجھ کو سچا نہیں سمجھو گے؟ انہوں نے کہا کہ ہمیں جھوٹ کا آپ سے تجربہ کبھی بھی نہیں ہے۔ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ پھر میں تمہیں اس سخت عذاب سے ڈراتا ہوں جو تمہارے سامنے آ رہا ہے۔ یہ سن کر ابولہب بولا، تو تباہ ہو، کیا تو نے ہمیں اسی لیے جمع کیا تھا؟ پھر نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم وہاں سے چلے آئے اور آپ پر یہ سورت نازل ہوئی «تبت يدا أبي لهب وتب» الخ یعنی ”دونوں ہاتھ ٹوٹ گئے ابولہب کے اور وہ برباد ہو گیا۔“ اعمش نے یوں پڑھا «وقد تب» جس دن یہ حدیث روایت کی۔
