كتاب تفسير النبي ﷺ
Rapporté par Ibn `Abbas : `Umar a interrogé les gens au sujet de la parole d'Allah : « Quand vient le secours d'Allah (pour toi, ô Muhammad, contre tes ennemis) et la conquête de La Mecque. » (110.1) Ils ont répondu : « Cela annonce les futures conquêtes de villes et de palais par les musulmans. » `Umar a dit : « Et toi, qu'en dis-tu, ô Ibn `Abbas ? » J'ai répondu : « Cette sourate annonce la fin de la vie de Muhammad. Par elle, il a été informé de la proximité de sa mort. »

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ عُمَرَ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ سَأَلَهُمْ عَنْ قَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى {إِذَا جَاءَ نَصْرُ اللَّهِ وَالْفَتْحُ} قَالُوا فَتْحُ الْمَدَائِنِ وَالْقُصُورِ قَالَ مَا تَقُولُ يَا ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ أَجَلٌ أَوْ مَثَلٌ ضُرِبَ لِمُحَمَّدٍ صلى الله عليه وسلم نُعِيَتْ لَهُ نَفْسُهُ.
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Ibn `Abbas:`Umar asked the people regarding Allah's Statement: 'When comes the Help of Allah (to you O Muhammad against your enemies) and the conquest of Mecca.' (110.1) They replied, "It indicates the future conquest of towns and palaces (by Muslims)." `Umar said, "What do you say about it, O Ibn `Abbas?" I replied, "(This Surat) indicates the termination of the life of Muhammad. Through it he was informed of the nearness of his death

ہم سے عبداللہ بن ابی شیبہ نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے عبدالرحمٰن بن مہدی نے بیان کیا، ان سے سفیان ثوری نے، ان سے حبیب بن ابی ثابت نے، ان سے سعید بن جبیر نے اور ان سے ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما نے کہ عمر رضی اللہ عنہ نے بوڑھے بدری صحابہ سے اللہ تعالیٰ کے ارشاد «إذا جاء نصر الله والفتح» یعنی ”جب اللہ کی مدد اور فتح آ پہنچی“ کے متعلق پوچھا تو انہوں نے جواب دیا کہ اس سے اشارہ بہت سے شہروں اور ملکوں کے فتح ہونے کی طرف ہے۔ عمر رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا: ابن عباس تمہارا کیا خیال ہے؟ ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما نے جواب دیا کہ اس میں آپ کی وفات کی خبر یا ایک مثال ہے گویا آپ کی موت کی آپ کو خبر دی گئی ہے۔
