Rapporté par Anas : Un banquet de pain et de viande a été organisé lors du mariage du Prophète (ﷺ) avec Zaynab bint Jahsh. J’ai été envoyé pour inviter les gens (au banquet), et les gens sont venus (par groupes) ; ils mangeaient puis partaient. Un autre groupe venait, mangeait et partait. J’ai continué à inviter les gens jusqu’à ce que je ne trouve plus personne à inviter. J’ai alors dit : « Ô Prophète d’Allah ! Je ne trouve plus personne à inviter. » Il a dit : « Emporte le reste de la nourriture. » Ensuite, un groupe de trois personnes est resté dans la maison à discuter. Le Prophète (ﷺ) est sorti et s’est dirigé vers la maison de ‘Aïcha et a dit : « Paix et miséricorde d’Allah sur vous, ô gens de la maison ! » Elle a répondu : « Paix et miséricorde d’Allah sur toi aussi. Comment as-tu trouvé ta femme ? Qu’Allah te bénisse. » Puis il est allé chez toutes ses autres épouses et leur a dit la même chose qu’à ‘Aïcha, et elles lui ont répondu comme elle. Ensuite, le Prophète (ﷺ) est revenu et a trouvé un groupe de trois personnes encore dans la maison en train de discuter. Le Prophète était très pudique, alors il est ressorti (une deuxième fois) et est allé vers la maison de ‘Aïcha. Je ne me souviens plus si je l’ai informé que les gens étaient partis. Il est donc revenu, et dès qu’il est entré, il a tiré le rideau entre moi et lui, puis le verset du Hijab a été révélé

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مَعْمَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ صُهَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ بُنِيَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِزَيْنَبَ ابْنَةِ جَحْشٍ بِخُبْزٍ وَلَحْمٍ فَأُرْسِلْتُ عَلَى الطَّعَامِ دَاعِيًا فَيَجِيءُ قَوْمٌ فَيَأْكُلُونَ وَيَخْرُجُونَ، ثُمَّ يَجِيءُ قَوْمٌ فَيَأْكُلُونَ وَيَخْرُجُونَ، فَدَعَوْتُ حَتَّى مَا أَجِدُ أَحَدًا أَدْعُو فَقُلْتُ يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ مَا أَجِدُ أَحَدًا أَدْعُوهُ قَالَ ارْفَعُوا طَعَامَكُمْ، وَبَقِيَ ثَلاَثَةُ رَهْطٍ يَتَحَدَّثُونَ فِي الْبَيْتِ، فَخَرَجَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَانْطَلَقَ إِلَى حُجْرَةِ عَائِشَةَ فَقَالَ " السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ أَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ ". فَقَالَتْ وَعَلَيْكَ السَّلاَمُ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ، كَيْفَ وَجَدْتَ أَهْلَكَ بَارَكَ اللَّهُ لَكَ فَتَقَرَّى حُجَرَ نِسَائِهِ كُلِّهِنَّ، يَقُولُ لَهُنَّ كَمَا يَقُولُ لِعَائِشَةَ، وَيَقُلْنَ لَهُ كَمَا قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ، ثُمَّ رَجَعَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَإِذَا ثَلاَثَةُ رَهْطٍ فِي الْبَيْتِ يَتَحَدَّثُونَ، وَكَانَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم شَدِيدَ الْحَيَاءِ، فَخَرَجَ مُنْطَلِقًا نَحْوَ حُجْرَةِ عَائِشَةَ فَمَا أَدْرِي آخْبَرْتُهُ أَوْ أُخْبِرَ أَنَّ الْقَوْمَ خَرَجُوا، فَرَجَعَ حَتَّى إِذَا وَضَعَ رِجْلَهُ فِي أُسْكُفَّةِ الْبَابِ دَاخِلَةً وَأُخْرَى خَارِجَةً أَرْخَى السِّتْرَ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَهُ، وَأُنْزِلَتْ آيَةُ الْحِجَابِ.
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Anas:A banquet of bread and meat was held on the occasion of the marriage of the Prophet (ﷺ) to Zainab bint Jahsh. I was sent to invite the people (to the banquet), and so the people started coming (in groups); They would eat and then leave. Another batch would come, eat and leave. So I kept on inviting the people till I found nobody to invite. Then I said, "O Allah's Prophet! I do not find anybody to invite." He said, "Carry away the remaining food." Then a batch of three persons stayed in the house chatting. The Prophet (ﷺ) left and went towards the dwelling place of Aisha and said, "Peace and Allah's Mercy be on you, O the people of the house!" She replied, "Peace and the mercy of Allah be on you too. How did you find your wife? May Allah bless you. Then he went to the dwelling places of all his other wives and said to them the same as he said to Aisha and they said to him the same as Aisha had said to him. Then the Prophet (ﷺ) returned and found a group of three persons still in the house chatting. The Prophet was a very shy person, so he went out (for the second time) and went towards the dwelling place of `Aisha. I do not remember whether I informed him that the people have gone away. So he returned and as soon as he entered the gate, he drew the curtain between me and him, and then the Verse of Al-Hijab was revealed

ہم سے ابومعمر نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے عبدالوارث نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے عبدالعزیز بن صہیب نے بیان کیا اور ان سے انس رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے زینب بنت جحش رضی اللہ عنہا سے نکاح کے بعد ( بطور ولیمہ ) گوشت اور روٹی تیار کروائی اور مجھے کھانے پر لوگوں کو بلانے کے لیے بھیجا، پھر کچھ لوگ آئے اور کھا کر واپس چلے گئے۔ پھر دوسرے لوگ آئے اور کھا کر واپس چلے، میں بلاتا رہا۔ آخر جب کوئی باقی نہیں رہا تو میں نے عرض کیا: اے اللہ کے نبی! اب تو کوئی باقی نہیں رہا جس کو میں دعوت دوں تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ اب دستر خوان اٹھا لو لیکن تین اشخاص گھر میں باتیں کرتے رہے۔ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم باہر نکل آئے اور عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کے حجرہ کے سامنے جا کر فرمایا السلام علیکم اہل البیت ورحمۃ اللہ۔ انہوں نے کہا وعلیک السلام ورحمۃ اللہ، اپنی اہل کو آپ نے کیسا پایا؟ اللہ برکت عطا فرمائے۔ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اسی طرح تمام ازواج مطہرات کے حجروں کے سامنے گئے اور جس طرح عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے فرمایا تھا اس طرح سب سے فرمایا اور انہوں نے بھی عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کی طرح جواب دیا۔ اس کے بعد نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم واپس تشریف لائے تو وہ تین آدمی اب بھی گھر میں بیٹھے باتیں کر رہے تھے۔ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم بہت زیادہ حیاء دار تھے، آپ ( یہ دیکھ کر کہ لوگ اب بھی بیٹھے ہوئے ہیں ) عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کے حجرہ کی طرف پھر چلے گئے، مجھے یاد نہیں کہ اس کے بعد میں نے یا کسی اور نے آپ کو جا کر خبر کی کہ اب وہ تینوں آدمی روانہ ہو چکے ہیں۔ پھر نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اب واپس تشریف لائے اور پاؤں چوکھٹ پر رکھا۔ ابھی آپ کا ایک پاؤں اندر تھا اور ایک پاؤں باہر کہ آپ نے پردہ گرا لیا اور پردہ کی آیت نازل ہوئی۔
