Rapporté par Zayd ibn Thabit : Lorsque nous avons rassemblé les fragments du Coran pour en faire des copies, il me manquait un verset de la sourate Al-Ahzab que j’avais entendu le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) réciter. Finalement, je ne l’ai trouvé qu’avec Khuzaïma Al-Ansari, dont le témoignage était considéré par le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) comme équivalent à celui de deux hommes. (Et ce verset était :) « Parmi les croyants, il y a des hommes qui ont tenu fidèlement leur engagement envers Allah. »

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ، أَخْبَرَنَا شُعَيْبٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي خَارِجَةُ بْنُ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ، أَنَّ زَيْدَ بْنَ ثَابِتٍ، قَالَ لَمَّا نَسَخْنَا الصُّحُفَ فِي الْمَصَاحِفِ فَقَدْتُ آيَةً مِنْ سُورَةِ الأَحْزَابِ، كُنْتُ أَسْمَعُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقْرَؤُهَا، لَمْ أَجِدْهَا مَعَ أَحَدٍ إِلاَّ مَعَ خُزَيْمَةَ الأَنْصَارِيِّ، الَّذِي جَعَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم شَهَادَتَهُ شَهَادَةَ رَجُلَيْنِ {مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ رِجَالٌ صَدَقُوا مَا عَاهَدُوا اللَّهَ عَلَيْهِ}
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Zaid bin Thabit:When we collected the fragmentary manuscripts of the Qur'an into copies, I missed one of the Verses of Surat al-Ahzab which I used to hear Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) reading. Finally I did not find it with anybody except Khuza`ima Al-Ansari, whose witness was considered by Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) equal to the witness of two men. (And that Verse was:) 'Among the believers are men who have been true to their covenant with Allah
Traduction en ourdou
ہم سے ابوالیمان نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم کو شعیب نے خبر دی، ان سے زہری نے بیان کیا، کہا مجھ کو خارجہ بن زید بن ثابت رضی اللہ عنہ نے خبر دی اور ان سے زید بن ثابت رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا کہ جب ہم قرآن مجید کو مصحف کی صورت میں جمع کر رہے تھے تو مجھے سورۃ الاحزاب کی ایک آیت ( کہیں لکھی ہوئی ) نہیں مل رہی تھی۔ میں وہ آیت رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے سن چکا تھا۔ آخر وہ مجھے خزیمہ انصاری رضی اللہ عنہ کے پاس ملی جن کی شہادت کو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے دو مومن مردوں کی شہادت کے برابر قرار دیا تھا۔ وہ آیت یہ تھی «من المؤمنين رجال صدقوا ما عاهدوا الله عليه» ”اہل ایمان میں کچھ لوگ ایسے بھی ہیں کہ انہوں نے اللہ سے جو عہد کیا تھا اس میں وہ سچے اترے۔“
