Hadith 4714 — Livre 65: Prophetic Commentary on the Qur'an (Tafseer of the Prophet (pbuh))
كتاب تفسير النبي ﷺ
Rapporté par `Abdullah : Concernant l’explication du verset : « Ceux qu’ils invoquent (adorent) (comme Jésus, fils de Marie, les anges, etc.) cherchent eux-mêmes un moyen d’être proches de leur Seigneur (Allah), pour savoir lequel d’entre eux sera le plus proche, et ils espèrent Sa miséricorde et craignent Son châtiment. » (17.57) Eux-mêmes (par exemple les anges, les saints, les apôtres, Jésus, etc.) adoraient Allah. Les djinns qui étaient adorés par certains Arabes sont devenus musulmans (ont embrassé l’islam), mais ces humains sont restés dans leur ancienne religion. Al-A`mash a ajouté : « Dis (Ô Muhammad) : Invoquez ceux que vous croyez (être des dieux) en dehors de Lui. »

حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، حَدَّثَنِي سُلَيْمَانُ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ أَبِي مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، {إِلَى رَبِّهِمِ الْوَسِيلَةَ} قَالَ كَانَ نَاسٌ مِنَ الإِنْسِ يَعْبُدُونَ نَاسًا مِنَ الْجِنِّ، فَأَسْلَمَ الْجِنُّ، وَتَمَسَّكَ هَؤُلاَءِ بِدِينِهِمْ. زَادَ الأَشْجَعِيُّ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ. {قُلِ ادْعُوا الَّذِينَ زَعَمْتُمْ}
Traduction anglaise
Narrated `Abdullah:Regarding the explanation of the Verse: 'Those whom they call upon (worship) (like Jesus the Son of Mary, angels etc.) desire (for themselves) means of access to their Lord (Allah) as to which of them should be the nearer and they hope for His Mercy and fear His torment.' (17.57) They themselves (e.g. Angels, saints, Apostles, Jesus, etc.,) worshipped Allah, Those Jinns who were worshipped by some Arabs became Muslims (embraced Islam), but those human beings stuck to their (old) religion. Al- A`mash said extra: 'Say, (O Muhammad): Call unto those besides Him whom you assume (to be gods)
Traduction en ourdou
مجھ سے عمرو بن علی بن فلاس نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے یحییٰ بن سعید قطان نے کہا ہم سے سفیان نے، کہا مجھ سے سلیمان اعمش نے بیان کیا، ان سے ابراہیم نخعی نے، ان سے عبداللہ بن معمر نے اور ان سے عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ نے ( آیت ) «إلى ربهم الوسيلة» کا شان نزول یہ ہے کہ کچھ لوگ جنوں کی عبادت کرتے تھے، لیکن وہ جِن بعد میں مسلمان ہو گئے اور یہ مشرک ( کم بخت ) ان ہی کی پرستش کرتے جاہلی شریعت پر قائم رہے۔ عبیداللہ اشجعی نے اس حدیث کو سفیان سے روایت کیا اور ان سے اعمش نے بیان کیا، اس میں یوں ہے کہ اس آیت «قل ادعوا الذين زعمتم» کا شان نزول یہ ہے آخر تک۔
