Rapporté par `Abdullah : À l’époque préislamique, si une tribu devenait nombreuse, nous disions : “Amira les enfants d’untel.” Rapporté par Al-Humaidi : Soufyan nous a raconté quelque chose et a utilisé le mot “Amira”

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَنْصُورٌ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ كُنَّا نَقُولُ لِلْحَىِّ إِذَا كَثُرُوا فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ أَمِرَ بَنُو فُلاَنٍ. حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ وَقَالَ أَمِرَ.
Traduction anglaise
Narrated `Abdullah:During the Pre-Islamic period of ignorance if any tribe became great in number, we used to say, "Amira the children of so-and-so." Narrated Al-Humaidi: Sufyan narrated to us something and used the word 'Amira

ہم سے علی بن عبداللہ مدینی نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے سفیان نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم کو منصور نے خبر دی، انہیں ابووائل نے اور ان سے عبداللہ نے بیان کیا کہ جب کسی قبیلہ کے لوگ بڑھ جاتے تو زمانہ جاہلیت میں ہم ان کے متعلق کہا کرتے تھے کہ «أمر بنو فلان.» ( یعنی فلاں کا خاندان بہت بڑھ گیا ) ۔ ہم سے حمیدی نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے سفیان بن عیینہ نے بیان کیا اور اس روایت میں انہوں نے بھی لفظ «أمر.» کا ذکر کیا۔
