كتاب تفسير النبي ﷺ
Rapporté par Ibn ‘Abbâs : Il lisait : {N’est-ce pas qu’ils replient leurs poitrines} et je l’ai interrogé à ce sujet. Il répondit : « Ce sont des gens qui avaient honte de satisfaire leurs besoins naturels à découvert, de peur d’être exposés au ciel, et d’avoir des rapports avec leurs femmes à découvert, de peur d’être exposés au ciel. Ce verset fut donc révélé à leur sujet. »

حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ صَبَّاحٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ، قَالَ قَالَ ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبَّادِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ، يَقْرَأُ {أَلاَ إِنَّهُمْ تَثْنَوْنِي صُدُورُهُمْ} قَالَ سَأَلْتُهُ عَنْهَا فَقَالَ أُنَاسٌ كَانُوا يَسْتَحْيُونَ أَنْ يَتَخَلَّوْا فَيُفْضُوا إِلَى السَّمَاءِ، وَأَنْ يُجَامِعُوا نِسَاءَهُمْ فَيُفْضُوا إِلَى السَّمَاءِ، فَنَزَلَ ذَلِكَ فِيهِمْ.
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Muhammad bin `Abbas bin Ja`far:That he heard Ibn `Abbas reciting: "No doubt! They fold up their breasts." (11.5) and asked him about its explanation. He said, "Some people used to hide themselves while answering the call of nature in an open space lest they be exposed to the sky, and also when they had sexual relation with their wives in an open space lest they be exposed to the sky, so the above revelation was sent down regarding them

ہم سے حسن بن محمد بن صباح نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے حجاج بن محمد اعور نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ ہم سے ابن جریج نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ مجھ کو محمد بن عباد بن جعفر نے خبر دی اور انہوں نے ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے سنا کہ آپ آیت کی قرآت اس طرح کرتے تھے «ألا إنهم تثنوني صدورهم» میں نے ان سے آیت کے متعلق پوچھا۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ کچھ لوگ اس میں حیاء کرتے تھے کہ کھلی ہوئی جگہ میں حاجت کے لیے بیٹھنے میں، آسمان کی طرف ستر کھولنے میں، اس طرح صحبت کرتے وقت آسمان کی طرف کھولنے میں پروردگار سے شرماتے۔
