Rapporté par Zaid bin Arqam : Nous avions l’habitude de parler pendant la prière. L’un de nous parlait à son frère (pendant la prière) de ses besoins, jusqu’à ce que le verset soit révélé : « Soyez assidus aux (cinq) prières obligatoires, surtout la prière du milieu (`Asr), et tenez-vous devant Allah avec dévotion (et sans parler aux autres pendant la prière). » Ensuite, il nous a été ordonné de ne plus parler pendant la prière

حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي خَالِدٍ، عَنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ شُبَيْلٍ، عَنْ أَبِي عَمْرٍو الشَّيْبَانِيِّ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ، قَالَ كُنَّا نَتَكَلَّمُ فِي الصَّلاَةِ يُكَلِّمُ أَحَدُنَا أَخَاهُ فِي حَاجَتِهِ حَتَّى نَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الآيَةُ {حَافِظُوا عَلَى الصَّلَوَاتِ وَالصَّلاَةِ الْوُسْطَى وَقُومُوا لِلَّهِ قَانِتِينَ} فَأُمِرْنَا بِالسُّكُوتِ.
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Zaid bin Arqam:We used to speak while in prayer. One of us used to speak to his brother (while in prayer) about his need, till the Verse was revealed:-- "Guard strictly the (five obligatory) prayers, especially the middle (the Best) (`Asr) Prayer and stand before Allah with obedience (and not to speak to others during the prayers)." Then we were ordered not to speak in the prayers

ہم سے مسدد بن مسرہد نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے یحییٰ قطان نے بیان کیا، ان سے اسماعیل بن ابی خالد نے، ان سے حارث بن شبل نے، ان سے ابوعمرو شیبانی نے اور ان سے زید بن ارقم رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا کہ پہلے ہم نماز پڑھتے ہوئے بات بھی کر لیا کرتے تھے، کوئی بھی شخص اپنے دوسرے بھائی سے اپنی کسی ضرورت کے لیے بات کر لیتا تھا۔ یہاں تک کہ یہ آیت نازل ہوئی «حافظوا على الصلوات والصلاة الوسطى وقوموا لله قانتين» ”سب ہی نمازوں کی پابندی رکھو اور خاص طور پر بیچ والی نماز کی اور اللہ کے سامنے فرماں برداروں کی طرح کھڑے ہوا کرو۔“ اس آیت کے ذریعہ ہمیں نماز میں چپ رہنے کا حکم دیا گیا۔
