Rapporté par Talha : J’ai demandé à `Abdullah bin Abu `Aufa : « Le Prophète (ﷺ) a-t-il laissé un testament ? » Il a répondu : « Non. » J’ai insisté : « Comment se fait-il que le testament ait été prescrit aux gens ou qu’on leur ait ordonné de le faire ? » Il a dit : « Le Prophète (ﷺ) a laissé un testament concernant le Livre d’Allah. »

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ مِغْوَلٍ، عَنْ طَلْحَةَ، قَالَ سَأَلْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ أَبِي أَوْفَى ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ أَوْصَى النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ لاَ. فَقُلْتُ كَيْفَ كُتِبَ عَلَى النَّاسِ الْوَصِيَّةُ أَوْ أُمِرُوا بِهَا قَالَ أَوْصَى بِكِتَابِ اللَّهِ.
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Talha:I asked `Abdullah bin Abu `Aufa "Did the Prophet (ﷺ) make a will? ' He replied, "No." I further asked, "How come is it that the making of a will was enjoined on the people or that they were ordered to make it? " He said, "The Prophet (ﷺ) made a will concerning Allah's Book
Traduction en ourdou
ہم سے ابونعیم نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے مالک بن مغول نے بیان کیا، ان سے طلحہ بن مصرف نے بیان کیا کہ میں نے عبداللہ بن ابی اوفی رضی اللہ عنہ سے پوچھا، کیا رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے کسی کو وصی بنایا تھا۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ نہیں۔ میں نے پوچھا کہ لوگوں پر وصیت کرنا کیسے فرض ہے یا وصیت کرنے کا کیسے حکم ہے؟ انہوں نے بتایا کہ آپ نے کتاب اللہ کے مطابق عمل کرتے رہنے کی وصیت کی تھی۔
