Rapporté par Nafi` : Ibn `Umar m’a informé que, le jour de (la bataille de) Mu’tah, il se tenait à côté de Ja`far qui était mort (tué au combat), et il a compté cinquante blessures sur son corps, causées par des coups ou des entailles, et aucune de ces blessures n’était dans son dos

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي هِلاَلٍ، قَالَ وَأَخْبَرَنِي نَافِعٌ، أَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ، أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ، وَقَفَ عَلَى جَعْفَرٍ يَوْمَئِذٍ وَهْوَ قَتِيلٌ، فَعَدَدْتُ بِهِ خَمْسِينَ بَيْنَ طَعْنَةٍ وَضَرْبَةٍ، لَيْسَ مِنْهَا شَىْءٌ فِي دُبُرِهِ. يَعْنِي فِي ظَهْرِهِ.
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Nafi`:Ibn `Umar informed me that on the day (of Mu'tah) he stood beside Ja`far who was dead (i.e. killed in the battle), and he counted fifty wounds in his body, caused by stabs or strokes, and none of those wounds was in his back

ہم سے احمد بن صالح نے بیان کیا ‘ کہا ہم سے عبداللہ بن وہب نے بیان کیا ‘ ان سے عمرو بن حارث انصاری نے ‘ ان سے سعید بن ابی ہلال نے بیان کیا اور کہا کہ مجھ کو نافع نے خبر دی اور انہیں ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے خبر دی کہ اس غزوہ موتہ میں جعفر طیار رضی اللہ عنہ کی لاش پر کھڑے ہو کر میں نے شمار کیا تو نیزوں اور تلواروں کے پچاس زخم ان کے جسم پر تھے لیکن پیچھے یعنی پیٹھ پر ایک زخم بھی نہیں تھا۔
