Rapporté par Ibn `Umar : Le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) a nommé Usama bin Zaid comme chef d’un groupe de personnes. Ces personnes ont critiqué sa direction. Le Prophète (ﷺ) a dit : « Si vous critiquez sa direction, vous avez déjà critiqué celle de son père auparavant. Par Allah, il méritait d’être chef, et il était l’une des personnes que j’aimais le plus, et maintenant celui-ci (c’est-à-dire Usama) est aussi l’un de ceux que j’aime le plus après lui. »

حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ دِينَارٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ قَالَ أَمَّرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أُسَامَةَ عَلَى قَوْمٍ، فَطَعَنُوا فِي إِمَارَتِهِ، فَقَالَ " إِنْ تَطْعَنُوا فِي إِمَارَتِهِ، فَقَدْ طَعَنْتُمْ فِي إِمَارَةِ أَبِيهِ مِنْ قَبْلِهِ، وَايْمُ اللَّهِ لَقَدْ كَانَ خَلِيقًا لِلإِمَارَةِ، وَإِنْ كَانَ مِنْ أَحَبِّ النَّاسِ إِلَىَّ، وَإِنَّ هَذَا لَمِنْ أَحَبِّ النَّاسِ إِلَىَّ بَعْدَهُ ".
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Ibn `Umar:Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) appointed Usama bin Zaid as the commander of some people. Those people criticized his leadership. The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "If you speak ill of his leadership, you have already spoken ill of his father's leadership before. By Allah, he deserved to be a Commander, and he was one of the most beloved persons to me and now this (i.e. Usama) is one of the most beloved persons to me after him

ہم سے مسدد نے بیان کیا ‘ کہا ہم سے یحییٰ بن سعید نے بیان کیا ‘ کہا ہم سے سفیان ثوری نے بیان کیا ‘ ان سے عبداللہ بن دینار نے بیان کیا اور ان سے عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے بیان کیا کہ ایک جماعت کا امیر رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اسامہ بن زید رضی اللہ عنہما کو بنایا۔ ان کی امارت پر بعض لوگوں کو اعتراض ہوا تو نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ آج تم کو اس کی امارت پر اعتراض ہے تم ہی کچھ دن پہلے اس کے باپ کی امارت پر اعتراض کر چکے ہو۔ حالانکہ اللہ کی قسم وہ امارت کے مستحق و اہل تھے۔ اس کے علاوہ وہ مجھے سب سے زیادہ عزیز تھے جس طرح یہ اسامہ رضی اللہ عنہ ان کے بعد مجھے سب سے زیادہ عزیز ہے۔
