Rapporté par Al-Musaiyab : J’ai rencontré Al-Bara bin `Azib et je lui ai dit : « Que tu vives heureux ! Tu as eu la chance de côtoyer le Prophète (ﷺ) et de lui prêter allégeance (d’Al-Hudaibiya) sous l’Arbre. » Al-Bara’ a répondu : « Ô mon neveu ! Tu ne sais pas ce que nous avons fait après lui (c’est-à-dire après sa mort). »

حَدَّثَنِي أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِشْكَابٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ، عَنِ الْعَلاَءِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ لَقِيتُ الْبَرَاءَ بْنَ عَازِبٍ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ فَقُلْتُ طُوبَى لَكَ صَحِبْتَ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَبَايَعْتَهُ تَحْتَ الشَّجَرَةِ. فَقَالَ يَا ابْنَ أَخِي إِنَّكَ لاَ تَدْرِي مَا أَحْدَثْنَا بَعْدَهُ.
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Al-Musaiyab:I met Al-Bara bin `Azib and said (to him). "May you live prosperously! You enjoyed the company of the Prophet (ﷺ) and gave him the Pledge of allegiance (of Al-Hudaibiya) under the Tree." On that, Al- Bara' said, "O my nephew! You do not know what we have done after him (i.e. his death)
Traduction en ourdou
مجھ سے احمد بن اشکاب نے بیان کیا ‘ کہا ہم سے محمد بن فضیل نے بیان کیا ‘ ان سے علاء بن مسیب نے ‘ ان سے ان کے والد نے بیان کیا کہ میں براء بن عازب رضی اللہ عنہ کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا اور عرض کیا ‘ مبارک ہو! آپ کو نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی خدمت نصیب ہوئی اور نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے آپ نے شجر ( درخت ) کے نیچے بیعت کی۔ انہوں نے کہا بیٹے! تمہیں معلوم نہیں کہ ہم نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے بعد کیا کیا کام کئے ہیں۔
