Rapporté par Tariq bin `Abdur-Rahman : Lorsque je suis parti pour le Hajj, je suis passé devant des gens en train de prier. J’ai demandé : « Quelle est cette mosquée ? » Ils ont répondu : « C’est l’Arbre où le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) a reçu le pacte d’Ar-Ridwan. » Ensuite, je suis allé voir Sa`id bin Musaiyab et je l’ai informé. Sa`id a dit : « Mon père a dit qu’il faisait partie de ceux qui avaient prêté allégeance au Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) sous l’Arbre. Il (c’est-à-dire mon père) a dit : ‘Quand nous sommes repartis l’année suivante, nous avons oublié l’Arbre et n’avons pas pu le reconnaître.’ » Puis Sa`id a dit (peut-être ironiquement) : « Les compagnons du Prophète (ﷺ) n’ont pas pu le reconnaître ; pourtant, vous, vous le reconnaissez ; donc, vous avez une meilleure connaissance. »

حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودٌ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ، عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ، عَنْ طَارِقِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، قَالَ انْطَلَقْتُ حَاجًّا فَمَرَرْتُ بِقَوْمٍ يُصَلُّونَ قُلْتُ مَا هَذَا الْمَسْجِدُ قَالُوا هَذِهِ الشَّجَرَةُ، حَيْثُ بَايَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم بَيْعَةَ الرُّضْوَانِ. فَأَتَيْتُ سَعِيدَ بْنَ الْمُسَيَّبِ فَأَخْبَرْتُهُ فَقَالَ سَعِيدٌ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي أَنَّهُ كَانَ فِيمَنْ بَايَعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم تَحْتَ الشَّجَرَةِ، قَالَ فَلَمَّا خَرَجْنَا مِنَ الْعَامِ الْمُقْبِلِ نَسِينَاهَا، فَلَمْ نَقْدِرْ عَلَيْهَا. فَقَالَ سَعِيدٌ إِنَّ أَصْحَابَ مُحَمَّدٍ صلى الله عليه وسلم لَمْ يَعْلَمُوهَا وَعَلِمْتُمُوهَا أَنْتُمْ، فَأَنْتُمْ أَعْلَمُ.
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Tariq bin `Abdur-Rahman:When I set out for Hajj, I passed by some people offering a prayer, I asked, "What is this mosque?" They said, "This is the Tree where Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) took the Ar-Ridwan Pledge of allegiance. Then I went to Sa`id bin Musaiyab and informed him about it. Sa`id said, "My father said that he was amongst those who had given the Pledge of allegiance to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) beneath the Tree. He (i.e. my father) said, "When we set out the following year, we forgot the Tree and were unable to recognize it. "Then Sa`id said (perhaps ironically) "The companions of the Prophet (ﷺ) could not recognize it; nevertheless, you do recognize it; therefore you have a better knowledge
Traduction en ourdou
ہم سے محمود بن غیلان نے بیان کیا ‘ کہا ہم سے عبیداللہ بن عبداللہ نے بیان کیا ‘ ان سے اسرائیل نے ‘ ان سے طارق بن عبدالرحمٰن نے بیان کیا کہ حج کے ارادے سے جاتے ہوئے میں کچھ ایسے لوگوں کے پاس سے گزرا جو نماز پڑھ رہے تھے۔ میں نے پوچھا کہ یہ کون سی مسجد ہے؟ انہوں نے بتایا کہ یہ وہی درخت ہے جہاں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے بیعت رضوان لی تھی۔ پھر میں سعید بن مسیب کے پاس آیا اور میں نے انہیں اس کی خبر دی ‘ انہوں نے کہا مجھ سے میرے والد مسیب بن حزن نے بیان کیا ‘ وہ ان لوگوں میں تھے جنہوں نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے اس درخت کے تلے بیعت کی تھی۔ کہتے تھے جب میں دوسرے سال وہاں گیا تو اس درخت کی جگہ کو بھول گیا۔ سعید نے کہا نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے اصحاب تو اس درخت کو پہچان نہ سکے۔ تم لوگوں نے کیسے پہچان لیا ( اس کے تلے مسجد بنا لی ) تم ان سے زیادہ علم والے ٹھہرے۔
