Rapporté par Ibn `Umar : Le Prophète (ﷺ) m’a inspecté le jour d’Uhud alors que j’avais quatorze ans, et il ne m’a pas permis de participer à la bataille. Il m’a inspecté à nouveau le jour d’Al-Khandaq (la bataille du Fossé) alors que j’avais quinze ans, et il m’a permis d’y participer

حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي نَافِعٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ـ رضى الله عنهما أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَرَضَهُ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ وَهْوَ ابْنُ أَرْبَعَ عَشْرَةَ فَلَمْ يُجِزْهُ، وَعَرَضَهُ يَوْمَ الْخَنْدَقِ وَهْوَ ابْنُ خَمْسَ عَشْرَةَ فَأَجَازَهُ.
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Ibn `Umar:That the Prophet (ﷺ) inspected him on the day of Uhud while he was fourteen years old, and the Prophet (ﷺ) did not allow him to take part in the battle. He was inspected again by the Prophet (ﷺ) on the day of Al- Khandaq (i.e. battle of the Trench) while he was fifteen years old, and the Prophet (ﷺ) allowed him to take Part in the battle
Traduction en ourdou
ہم سے یعقوب بن ابراہیم نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے یحییٰ بن سعید قطان نے بیان کیا، ان سے عبیداللہ عمری نے، کہا کہ مجھے نافع نے خبر دی اور انہیں ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے سامنے اپنے آپ کو انہوں نے غزوہ احد کے موقع پر پیش کیا ( تاکہ لڑنے والوں میں انہیں بھی بھرتی کر لیا جائے ) اس وقت وہ چودہ سال کے تھے تو نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے انہیں اجازت نہیں دی۔ لیکن غزوہ خندق کے موقع پر جب انہوں نے آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے سامنے اپنے کو پیش کیا تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ان کو منظور فرما لیا۔ اس وقت وہ پندرہ سال کی عمر کے تھے۔
