Rapporté par Ibn ‘Abbas : ‘Umar a dit : « Quand le Prophète (ﷺ) est mort, j’ai dit à Abu Bakr : Allons voir nos frères Ansar. Nous avons rencontré deux hommes pieux parmi eux, qui avaient combattu à Badr. » Quand j’ai raconté cela à ‘Urwa bin Az-Zubair, il a dit : « Ces deux hommes pieux étaient ‘Uwaim bin Sa‘ida et Manbin Adi. »

حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنْ عُمَرَ ـ رضى الله عنهم ـ لَمَّا تُوُفِّيَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قُلْتُ لأَبِي بَكْرٍ انْطَلِقْ بِنَا إِلَى إِخْوَانِنَا مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ. فَلَقِيَنَا مِنْهُمْ رَجُلاَنِ صَالِحَانِ شَهِدَا بَدْرًا. فَحَدَّثْتُ عُرْوَةَ بْنَ الزُّبَيْرِ فَقَالَ هُمَا عُوَيْمُ بْنُ سَاعِدَةَ، وَمَعْنُ بْنُ عَدِيٍّ.
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Ibn `Abbas:`Umar said, "When the Prophet (ﷺ) died I said to Abu Bakr, 'Let us go to our Ansari brethren.' We met two pious men from them, who had fought in the battle of Badr." When I mentioned this to `Urwa bin Az-Zubair, he said, "Those two pious men were 'Uwaim bin Sa`ida and Ma`n bin Adi

ہم سے موسیٰ بن اسماعیل نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے عبدالواحد بن زیاد نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے معمر نے بیان کیا، ان سے زہری نے، ان سے عبیداللہ بن عبداللہ نے اور ان سے ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما نے عمر رضی اللہ عنہ سے کہ جب نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی وفات ہو گئی تو میں نے ابوبکر رضی اللہ عنہ سے کہا آپ ہمیں ساتھ لے کر ہمارے انصاری بھائیوں کے یہاں چلیں۔ پھر ہماری ملاقات دو نیک ترین انصاری صحابیوں سے ہوئی جنہوں نے بدر کی لڑائی میں شرکت کی تھی۔ عبیداللہ نے کہا، پھر میں نے اس حدیث کا تذکرہ عروہ بن زبیر سے کیا تو انہوں نے بتایا کہ وہ دونوں صحابی عویم بن ساعدہ اور معن بن عدی رضی اللہ عنہما تھے۔
