حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبَّادٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، قَالَ أَنْفَذَهُ لَنَا ابْنُ الأَصْبَهَانِيِّ سَمِعَهُ مِنِ ابْنِ مَعْقِلٍ، أَنَّ عَلِيًّا ـ رضى الله عنه ـ كَبَّرَ عَلَى سَهْلِ بْنِ حُنَيْفٍ فَقَالَ إِنَّهُ شَهِدَ بَدْرًا.
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Ibn Ma`qil:`Ali led the funeral prayer of Sahl bin Hunaif and said, "He was one of the warriors of Badr

مجھ سے محمد بن عباد نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم کو سفیان بن عیینہ نے خبر دی، کہا کہ یہ روایت ہمیں عبدالرحمٰن بن عبداللہ اصبہانی نے لکھ کر بھیجی، انہوں نے عبداللہ بن معقل سے سنا کہ علی رضی اللہ عنہ نے سہل بن حنیف رضی اللہ عنہ کے جنازے پر تکبیریں کہیں اور کہا کہ وہ بدر کی لڑائی میں شریک تھے۔
