Rapporté par Ibn `Abbas : Le jour de la bataille de Badr, le Prophète (ﷺ) a dit : « Ô Allah ! Je fais appel à Toi pour accomplir Ta promesse et Ton engagement. Ô Allah ! Si Ta volonté est que personne ne T'adore, alors accorde la victoire aux polythéistes. » Puis Abu Bakr l'a pris par la main et a dit : « Cela suffit pour toi. » Le Prophète est sorti en disant : « Leur multitude sera mise en fuite et ils tourneront le dos. »

حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ " اللَّهُمَّ أَنْشُدُكَ عَهْدَكَ وَوَعْدَكَ، اللَّهُمَّ إِنْ شِئْتَ لَمْ تُعْبَدْ ". فَأَخَذَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ بِيَدِهِ فَقَالَ حَسْبُكَ. فَخَرَجَ وَهْوَ يَقُولُ {سَيُهْزَمُ الْجَمْعُ وَيُوَلُّونَ الدُّبُرَ}
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Ibn `Abbas:On the day of the battle of Badr, the Prophet (ﷺ) said, "O Allah! I appeal to You (to fulfill) Your Covenant and Promise. O Allah! If Your Will is that none should worship You (then give victory to the pagans)." Then Abu Bakr took hold of him by the hand and said, "This is sufficient for you." The Prophet came out saying, "Their multitude will be put to flight and they will show their backs
Traduction en ourdou
مجھ سے عبداللہ بن حوشب نے بیان کیا، ہم سے عبدالوہاب نے بیان کیا، ان سے خالد نے، ان سے عکرمہ نے، ان سے ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما نے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے بدر کی لڑائی کے موقع پر فرمایا تھا کہ اے اللہ! میں تیرے عہد اور وعدہ کا واسطہ دیتا ہوں، اگر تو چاہے ( کہ یہ کافر غالب ہوں تو مسلمانوں کے ختم ہو جانے کے بعد ) تیری عبادت نہ ہو گی۔ اس پر ابوبکر رضی اللہ عنہ نے آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کا ہاتھ تھام لیا اور عرض کیا بس کیجئے، یا رسول اللہ! اس کے بعد آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اپنے خیمے سے باہر تشریف لائے تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی زبان پر یہ آیت تھی «سيهزم الجمع ويولون الدبر» ”جلد ہی کفار کی جماعت کو ہار ہو گی اور یہ پیٹھ پھیر کر بھاگ نکلیں گے۔“
