Hadith 3865 — Livre 63: Merits of the Helpers in Madinah (Ansaar)

Rapporté par `Abdullah bin `Umar : Quand `Umar a embrassé l’islam, tous les gens (mécréants) se sont rassemblés autour de sa maison et ont dit : « `Umar est devenu musulman. » À ce moment-là, j’étais encore un garçon et j’étais sur le toit de ma maison. Un homme portant un manteau de Dibaj (une sorte de soie) est arrivé et a dit : « `Umar est devenu musulman. Personne ne peut lui faire de mal car je suis son protecteur. » J’ai alors vu les gens s’éloigner de `Umar et j’ai demandé qui était cet homme. On m’a répondu : « Al-`As bin Wail. »

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، قَالَ عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ سَمِعْتُهُ قَالَ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ لَمَّا أَسْلَمَ عُمَرُ اجْتَمَعَ النَّاسُ عِنْدَ دَارِهِ وَقَالُوا صَبَا عُمَرُ. وَأَنَا غُلاَمٌ فَوْقَ ظَهْرِ بَيْتِي، فَجَاءَ رَجُلٌ عَلَيْهِ قَبَاءٌ مِنْ دِيبَاجٍ فَقَالَ قَدْ صَبَا عُمَرُ. فَمَا ذَاكَ فَأَنَا لَهُ جَارٌ. قَالَ فَرَأَيْتُ النَّاسَ تَصَدَّعُوا عَنْهُ فَقُلْتُ مَنْ هَذَا قَالُوا الْعَاصِ بْنُ وَائِلٍ.
Traduction anglaise
Narrated `Abdullah bin `Umar:When `Umar embraced Islam, all The (disbelieving) people gathered around his home and said, "`Umar has embraced Islam." At that time I was still a boy and was on the roof of my house. There came a man wearing a cloak of Dibaj (i.e. a kind of silk), and said, "`Umar has embraced Islam. Nobody can harm him for I am his protector." I then saw the people going away from `Umar and asked who the man was, and they said, "Al-`As bin Wail

ہم سے علی بن عبداللہ مدینی نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے سفیان بن عیینہ نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ میں نے عمرو بن دینار سے سنا، انہوں نے بیان کیا کہ عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے کہا کہ جب عمر رضی اللہ عنہ اسلام لائے تو لوگ ان کے گھر کے قریب جمع ہو گئے اور کہنے لگے کہ عمر بےدین ہو گیا ہے۔ میں ان دنوں بچہ تھا اور اس وقت اپنے گھر کی چھت پر چڑھا ہوا تھا۔ اچانک ایک شخص آیا جو ریشم کی قباء پہنے ہوئے تھا، اس شخص نے لوگوں سے کہا ٹھیک ہے عمر بےدین ہو گیا لیکن یہ مجمع کیسا ہے؟ دیکھو میں عمر کو پناہ دے چکا ہوں۔ ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے بیان کیا کہ میں نے دیکھا کہ اس کی یہ بات سنتے ہی لوگ الگ الگ ہو گئے۔ میں نے پوچھا یہ کون صاحب تھے؟ عمر رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا کہ یہ عاص بن وائل ہیں۔
