Rapporté par Masruq : On a parlé de `Abdullah bin Masud devant `Abdullah bin `Amr, qui a dit : « C’est un homme que j’aime toujours, car j’ai entendu le Prophète (ﷺ) dire : ‘Apprenez la récitation du Coran auprès de quatre personnes : `Abdullah bin Mas`ud — il a commencé par lui — Salim, l’affranchi d’Abu Hudaifa, Mu`adh bin Jabal et Ubai bin Ka`b.’ »

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، قَالَ ذُكِرَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ عِنْدَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو فَقَالَ ذَاكَ رَجُلٌ لاَ أَزَالُ أُحِبُّهُ، سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ " خُذُوا الْقُرْآنَ مِنْ أَرْبَعَةٍ مِنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ ـ فَبَدَأَ بِهِ ـ وَسَالِمٍ مَوْلَى أَبِي حُذَيْفَةَ، وَمُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ، وَأُبَىِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ ".
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Masruq:`Abdullah bin Masud was mentioned before `Abdullah bin `Amr who said, "That is a man I still love, as I heard the Prophet (ﷺ) saying 'Learn the recitation of Qur'an from four from `Abdullah bin Mas`ud -- he started with him--Salim, the freed slave of Abu Hudaifa, Mu`adh bin Jabal and Ubai bin Ka`b

ہم سے ابوالولید نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے شعبہ نے بیان کیا، ان سے عمرو بن مرہ نے، ان سے ابراہیم نے، ان سے مسروق نے بیان کیا کہ عبداللہ بن عمرو رضی اللہ عنہما کی مجلس میں عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ کا ذکر آیا تو انہوں نے کہا کہ اس وقت سے ان کی محبت میرے دل میں بیٹھ گئی جب سے میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو یہ فرماتے سنا کہ قرآن چار آدمیوں سے سیکھو، عبداللہ بن مسعود سے، نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے انہیں کے نام سے ابتداء کی، اور ابوحذیفہ کے غلام سالم سے، معاذ بن جبل سے اور ابی بن کعب سے۔
