Rapporté par Anas : Quand `Abdur-Rahman bin `Auf est venu chez nous, le Messager d'Allah (ﷺ) a établi un lien de fraternité entre lui et Sa`d bin Ar-Rabi`, qui était un homme riche. Sa`d a dit : Les Ansar savent que je suis le plus riche d'entre eux, alors je vais partager mes biens en deux parts entre toi et moi, et j'ai deux épouses ; vois laquelle tu préfères afin que je la divorce et que tu puisses l'épouser après qu'elle soit devenue licite pour toi, une fois sa période (`idda) terminée. `Abdur-Rahman a dit : Qu'Allah bénisse ta famille (c'est-à-dire tes épouses) pour toi. (Mais `Abdur-Rahman est allé au marché) et n'est pas revenu ce jour-là sans un peu de gain en yaourt séché et en beurre. Il a continué à commercer quelques jours jusqu'à ce qu'il vienne voir le Messager d'Allah (ﷺ) en portant des traces de parfum jaune sur ses vêtements. Le Messager d'Allah (ﷺ) lui a demandé : Qu'est-ce que ce parfum ? Il a répondu : J'ai épousé une femme des Ansar. Le Prophète (ﷺ) a demandé : Quel mahr as-tu donné ? Il a dit : Un noyau de datte en or ou un noyau de datte en or. Le Prophète (ﷺ) a dit : Organise un repas de mariage, même avec un mouton

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ أَنَّهُ قَالَ قَدِمَ عَلَيْنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَوْفٍ، وَآخَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ سَعْدِ بْنِ الرَّبِيعِ، وَكَانَ كَثِيرَ الْمَالِ، فَقَالَ سَعْدٌ قَدْ عَلِمَتِ الأَنْصَارُ أَنِّي مِنْ أَكْثَرِهَا مَالاً، سَأَقْسِمُ مَالِي بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكَ شَطْرَيْنِ، وَلِي امْرَأَتَانِ، فَانْظُرْ أَعْجَبَهُمَا إِلَيْكَ فَأُطَلِّقُهَا، حَتَّى إِذَا حَلَّتْ تَزَوَّجْتَهَا. فَقَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بَارَكَ اللَّهُ لَكَ فِي أَهْلِكَ. فَلَمْ يَرْجِعْ يَوْمَئِذٍ حَتَّى أَفْضَلَ شَيْئًا مِنْ سَمْنٍ وَأَقِطٍ، فَلَمْ يَلْبَثْ إِلاَّ يَسِيرًا، حَتَّى جَاءَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَعَلَيْهِ وَضَرٌ مِنْ صُفْرَةٍ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " مَهْيَمْ ". قَالَ تَزَوَّجْتُ امْرَأَةً مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ. فَقَالَ " مَا سُقْتَ فِيهَا ". قَالَ وَزْنَ نَوَاةٍ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ، أَوْ نَوَاةً مِنْ ذَهَبٍ، فَقَالَ " أَوْلِمْ وَلَوْ بِشَاةٍ ".
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Anas:When `Abdur-Rahman bin `Auf came to us, Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) made a bond of fraternity between him and Sa`d bin Ar-Rabi` who was a rich man, Sa`d said, "The Ansar know that I am the richest of all of them, so I will divide my property into two parts between me and you, and I have two wives; see which of the two you like so that I may divorce her and you can marry her after she becomes lawful to you by her passing the prescribed period (i.e. 'Idda) of divorce. `Abdur Rahman said, "May Allah bless you your family (i.e. wives) for you." (But `Abdur-Rahman went to the market) and did not return on that day except with some gain of dried yogurt and butter. He went on trading just a few days till he came to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) bearing the traces of yellow scent over his clothes. Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) asked him, "What is this scent?" He replied, "I have married a woman from the Ansar." Allah's Apostle asked, "How much Mahr have you given?" He said, "A date-stone weight of gold or a golden date-stone." ہم سے قتیبہ نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے اسماعیل بن جعفر نے بیان کیا، ان سے حمید نے اور ان سے انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہ جب عبدالرحمٰن بن عوف رضی اللہ عنہ ( مکہ سے ہجرت کر کے مدینہ آئے تو ) رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ان کے اور سعد بن ربیع رضی اللہ عنہ کے درمیان بھائی چارہ کرا دیا۔ سعد رضی اللہ عنہ بہت دولت مند تھے، انہوں نے عبدالرحمٰن بن عوف رضی اللہ عنہ سے کہا: انصار کو معلوم ہے کہ میں ان میں سب سے زیادہ مالدار ہوں اس لیے میں اپنا آدھا آدھا مال اپنے اور آپ کے درمیان بانٹ دینا چاہتا ہوں اور میرے گھر میں دو بیویاں ہیں جو آپ کو پسند ہو میں اسے طلاق دے دوں گا اس کی عدت گزر جانے پر آپ اس سے نکاح کر لیں۔ عبدالرحمٰن بن عوف رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا اللہ تمہارے اہل و مال میں برکت عطا فرمائے، ( مجھ کو اپنا بازار دکھلا دو ) پھر وہ بازار سے اس وقت تک واپس نہیں آئے جب تک کچھ گھی اور پنیر بطور نفع بچا نہیں لیا۔ تھوڑے ہی دنوں کے بعد جب رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی خدمت میں وہ حاضر ہوئے تو جسم پر زردی کا نشان تھا۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے پوچھا یہ کیا ہے؟ بولے کہ میں نے ایک انصاری خاتون سے شادی کر لی ہے۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے پوچھا مہر کیا دیا ہے؟ بولے ایک گٹھلی کے برابر سونا یا ( یہ کہا کہ ) سونے کی ایک گٹھلی دی ہے، اس کے بعد آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا اچھا اب ولیمہ کرو خواہ ایک بکری ہی سے ہو۔
