Hadith 3764 — Livre 62: Companions of the Prophet
كتاب فضائل أصحاب النبي ﷺ
Rapporté par Ibn Abu Mulaika : Muawiya a fait une prière witr d’une rak`a après la prière du `Isha, et à ce moment-là, un esclave affranchi d’Ibn `Abbas était présent. Il (c’est-à-dire l’esclave) est allé voir Ibn `Abbas (et lui a dit que Muawiya avait fait une prière witr d’une rak`a). Ibn `Abbas a dit : « Laisse-le, car il a été en compagnie du Messager d’Allah (ﷺ). »

حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الْمُعَافَى، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ الأَسْوَدِ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ، قَالَ أَوْتَرَ مُعَاوِيَةُ بَعْدَ الْعِشَاءِ بِرَكْعَةٍ وَعِنْدَهُ مَوْلًى لاِبْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، فَأَتَى ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ فَقَالَ دَعْهُ، فَإِنَّهُ صَحِبَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم.
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Ibn Abu Mulaika:Muawiya offered one rak`a witr prayer after the `Isha prayer, and at that time a freed slave of Ibn `Abbas was present. He (i.e. the slave) went to Ibn `Abbas (and told him that Muawiya offered one rak`a witr prayer). Ibn `Abbas said, "Leave him, for he was in the company of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)
Traduction en ourdou
کہا ہم سے حسن بن بشیر نے بیان کیا، ان سے عثمان بن اسود نے اور ان سے ابن ابی ملیکہ نے بیان کیا کہ معاویہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے عشاء کے بعد وتر کی نماز صرف ایک رکعت پڑھی وہیں ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما کے مولیٰ ( کریب ) بھی موجود تھے، جب وہ ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوئے تو ( امیر معاویہ رضی اللہ عنہ کی ایک رکعت وتر کا ذکر کیا ) اس پر انہوں نے کہا: کوئی حرج نہیں ہے، انہوں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی صحبت اٹھائی ہے۔
