كتاب فضائل أصحاب النبي ﷺ
Rapporté par `Abdur-Rahman bin Yazid : Nous avons demandé à Hudhaifa de nous parler d’une personne qui ressemblait (un peu) au Prophète (ﷺ) par son apparence et sa droiture, afin que nous puissions apprendre de lui les bonnes manières et la bonne conduite. Hudhaifa a répondu : « Je ne connais personne qui ressemble autant au Prophète, dans son apparence et son comportement, qu’Ibn Um `Abd. »

حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ،، قَالَ سَأَلْنَا حُذَيْفَةَ عَنْ رَجُلٍ، قَرِيبِ السَّمْتِ وَالْهَدْىِ مِنَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم حَتَّى نَأْخُذَ عَنْهُ فَقَالَ مَا أَعْرِفُ أَحَدًا أَقْرَبَ سَمْتًا وَهَدْيًا وَدَلاًّ بِالنَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم مِنِ ابْنِ أُمِّ عَبْدٍ.
Traduction anglaise
Narrated `Abdur-Rahman bin Yazid:We asked Hudhaifa to tell us of a person resembling (to some extent) the Prophet (ﷺ) in good appearance and straight forward behavior so that we may learn from him (good manners and acceptable conduct). Hudhaifa replied, "I do not know anybody resembling the Prophet (to some extent) in appearance and conduct more than Ibn Um `Abd
Traduction en ourdou
ہم سے سلیمان بن حرب نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے شعبہ نے بیان کیا، ان سے ابواسحٰق نے، ان سے عبدالرحمٰن بن زید نے بیان کیا کہ ہم نے حذیفہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے پوچھا کہ صحابہ میں نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے عادات و اخلاق اور طور طریق میں سب سے زیادہ قریب کون سے صحابی تھے؟ تاکہ ہم ان سے سیکھیں، انہوں نے کہا اخلاق، طور طریق اور سیرت و عادت میں ابن ام عبد سے زیادہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے قریب اور کسی کو میں نہیں سمجھتا۔
