كتاب فضائل أصحاب النبي ﷺ
Rapporté par Qais : Bilal a dit à Abu Bakr : « Si tu m’as acheté pour toi-même, alors garde-moi pour toi, mais si tu m’as acheté pour Allah, alors laisse-moi pour l’œuvre d’Allah. »

حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ، عَنْ قَيْسٍ، أَنَّ بِلاَلاً، قَالَ لأَبِي بَكْرٍ إِنْ كُنْتَ إِنَّمَا اشْتَرَيْتَنِي لِنَفْسِكَ فَأَمْسِكْنِي، وَإِنْ كُنْتَ إِنَّمَا اشْتَرَيْتَنِي لِلَّهِ فَدَعْنِي وَعَمَلَ اللَّهِ.
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Qais:Bilal said to Abu Bakr, "If you have bought me for yourself then keep me (for yourself), but if you have bought me for Allah's Sake, then leave me for Allah's Work

ہم سے ابن نمیر نے بیان کیا، ان سے محمد بن عبید نے کہا، ہم سے اسماعیل نے بیان کیا، اور ان سے قیس نے کہ بلال رضی اللہ عنہ نے ابوبکر رضی اللہ عنہ سے کہا: اگر آپ نے مجھے اپنے لیے خریدا ہے تو پھر اپنے پاس ہی رکھئے اور اگر اللہ کے لیے خریدا ہے تو پھر مجھے آزاد کر دیجئیے اور اللہ کے راستے میں عمل کرنے دیجئیے۔
