كتاب فضائل أصحاب النبي ﷺ
Rapporté par Abu Musa : Le Prophète (ﷺ) est entré dans un jardin et m’a demandé de garder la porte. Un homme est venu et a demandé la permission d’entrer. Le Prophète (ﷺ) a dit : « Laisse-le entrer et annonce-lui la bonne nouvelle qu’il entrera au Paradis. » C’était Abu Bakr. Un autre homme est venu et a demandé la permission d’entrer. Le Prophète (ﷺ) a dit : « Laisse-le entrer et annonce-lui la bonne nouvelle qu’il entrera au Paradis. » C’était ‘Umar. Un autre homme est venu et a demandé la permission d’entrer. Le Prophète (ﷺ) s’est tu un moment, puis a dit : « Laisse-le entrer et annonce-lui la bonne nouvelle qu’il entrera au Paradis, mais qu’il subira une épreuve. » C’était ‘Uthman bin ‘Affan. ‘Asim, dans une autre version, a dit que le Prophète (ﷺ) était assis à un endroit où il y avait de l’eau, et il avait découvert ses deux genoux ou son genou, et quand ‘Uthman est entré, il les a recouverts

حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى ـ رضى الله عنه ـ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم دَخَلَ حَائِطًا وَأَمَرَنِي بِحِفْظِ باب الْحَائِطِ، فَجَاءَ رَجُلٌ يَسْتَأْذِنُ، فَقَالَ " ائْذَنْ لَهُ وَبَشِّرْهُ بِالْجَنَّةِ ". فَإِذَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ، ثُمَّ جَاءَ آخَرُ يَسْتَأْذِنُ فَقَالَ " ائْذَنْ لَهُ وَبَشِّرْهُ بِالْجَنَّةِ ". فَإِذَا عُمَرُ، ثُمَّ جَاءَ آخَرُ يَسْتَأْذِنُ، فَسَكَتَ هُنَيْهَةً ثُمَّ قَالَ " ائْذَنْ لَهُ وَبَشِّرْهُ بِالْجَنَّةِ عَلَى بَلْوَى سَتُصِيبُهُ ". فَإِذَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَفَّانَ. قَالَ حَمَّادٌ وَحَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمٌ الأَحْوَلُ، وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحَكَمِ، سَمِعَا أَبَا عُثْمَانَ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى، بِنَحْوِهِ، وَزَادَ فِيهِ عَاصِمٌ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ قَاعِدًا فِي مَكَانٍ فِيهِ مَاءٌ، قَدِ انْكَشَفَتْ عَنْ رُكْبَتَيْهِ أَوْ رُكْبَتِهِ، فَلَمَّا دَخَلَ عُثْمَانُ غَطَّاهَا.
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Abu Musa:The Prophet (ﷺ) entered a garden and ordered me to guard its gate. A man came and asked permission to enter. The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Admit him and give him the glad tidings of entering Paradise." Behold! It was Abu Bakr. Another man came and asked the permission to enter. The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Admit him and give him the glad tidings of entering Paradise." Behold! It was `Umar. Then another man came, asking the permission to enter. The Prophet (ﷺ) kept silent for a short while and then said, "Admit him and give him the glad tidings of entering Paradise with a calamity which will befall him." Behold! It was `Uthman bin `Affan. `Asim, in another narration, said that the Prophet (ﷺ) was sitting in a place where there was water, and he was uncovering both his knees or his knee, and when `Uthman entered, he covered them (or it)

ہم سے سلیمان بن حرب نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے حماد بن زید نے بیان کیا، ان سے ایوب نے، ان سے ابوعثمان نے اور ان سے ابوموسیٰ رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ایک باغ ( بئراریس ) کے اندر تشریف لے گئے اور مجھ سے فرمایا کہ میں دروازہ پر پہرہ دیتا رہوں۔ پھر ایک صاحب آئے اور اجازت چاہی۔ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ انہیں اجازت دے دو اور جنت کی خوشخبری بھی سنا دو، وہ ابوبکر رضی اللہ عنہ تھے۔ پھر دوسرے ایک اور صاحب آئے اور اجازت چاہی۔ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ انہیں بھی اجازت دے دو اور جنت کی خوشخبری سنا دو، وہ عمر رضی اللہ عنہ تھے۔ پھر تیسرے ایک اور صاحب آئے اور اجازت چاہی۔ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم تھوڑی دیر کے لیے خاموش ہو گئے پھر فرمایا کہ انہیں بھی اجازت دے دو اور ( دنیا میں ) ایک آزمائش سے گزرنے کے بعد جنت کی بشارت بھی سنا دو، وہ عثمان غنی رضی اللہ عنہ تھے۔ حماد بن سلمہ نے بیان کیا، ہم سے عاصم احول اور علی بن حکم نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے ابوعثمان سے سنا اور وہ ابوموسیٰ سے اسی طرح بیان کرتے تھے، لیکن عاصم نے اپنی اس روایت میں یہ زیادہ کیا ہے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اس وقت ایک ایسی جگہ بیٹھے ہوئے تھے جس کے اندر پانی تھا اور آپ اپنے دونوں گھٹنے یا ایک گھٹنہ کھولے ہوئے تھے لیکن جب عثمان رضی اللہ عنہ داخل ہوئے تو آپ نے اپنے گھٹنے کو چھپا لیا۔
