كتاب مناقب النبي ﷺ
Rapporté par Abu Huraira : Le Messager d'Allah (ﷺ) a dit : « Ma comparaison avec les prophètes avant moi est celle d’un homme qui a construit une maison joliment et magnifiquement, sauf à un endroit dans un coin où il manque une brique. Les gens tournent autour et admirent sa beauté, mais disent : “Si seulement cette brique était à sa place !” Je suis cette brique, et je suis le dernier des Prophètes. »

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " إِنَّ مَثَلِي وَمَثَلَ الأَنْبِيَاءِ مِنْ قَبْلِي كَمَثَلِ رَجُلٍ بَنَى بَيْتًا فَأَحْسَنَهُ وَأَجْمَلَهُ، إِلاَّ مَوْضِعَ لَبِنَةٍ مِنْ زَاوِيَةٍ، فَجَعَلَ النَّاسُ يَطُوفُونَ بِهِ وَيَعْجَبُونَ لَهُ، وَيَقُولُونَ هَلاَّ وُضِعَتْ هَذِهِ اللَّبِنَةُ قَالَ فَأَنَا اللَّبِنَةُ، وَأَنَا خَاتِمُ النَّبِيِّينَ ".
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Abu Huraira:Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "My similitude in comparison with the other prophets before me, is that of a man who has built a house nicely and beautifully, except for a place of one brick in a corner. The people go about it and wonder at its beauty, but say: 'Would that this brick be put in its place!' So I am that brick, and I am the last of the Prophets

ہم سے قتیبہ بن سعید نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے اسماعیل بن جعفر نے بیان کیا، ان سے عبداللہ بن دینار نے، ان سے ابوصالح نے اور ان سے ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ”میری اور مجھ سے پہلے کے تمام انبیاء کی مثال ایسی ہے جیسے ایک شخص نے ایک گھر بنایا اور اس میں ہر طرح کی زینت پیدا کی لیکن ایک کونے میں ایک اینٹ کی جگہ چھوٹ گئی۔ اب تمام لوگ آتے ہیں اور مکان کو چاروں طرف سے گھوم کر دیکھتے ہیں اور تعجب میں پڑ جاتے ہیں لیکن یہ بھی کہتے جاتے ہیں کہ یہاں پر ایک اینٹ کیوں نہ رکھی گئی؟ تو میں ہی وہ اینٹ ہوں اور میں خاتم النبیین ہوں۔“
