Rapporté par Anas bin Malik : Quand Allah a accordé à Son Messager (ﷺ) les biens de la tribu de Hawazin comme butin, il a commencé à donner à certains hommes de Quraish jusqu’à cent chameaux chacun. Certains hommes parmi les Ansar ont alors dit à propos du Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) : « Qu’Allah lui pardonne ! Il donne aux Quraish et nous oublie, alors que nos épées sont encore couvertes du sang des ennemis. » Quand le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) a été informé de leurs paroles, il a appelé les Ansar, les a réunis dans une tente en cuir et n’a invité personne d’autre. Quand ils furent tous là, le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) leur a dit : « Qu’est-ce que j’ai entendu dire à votre sujet ? » Les plus sages ont répondu : « Ô Messager d’Allah (ﷺ), les plus raisonnables d’entre nous n’ont rien dit, mais les plus jeunes ont dit : ‘Qu’Allah lui pardonne ; il donne aux Quraish et oublie les Ansar, alors que nos épées sont encore mouillées du sang des ennemis.’ » Le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) a répondu : « Je donne à ceux qui sont encore proches de la période de l’ignorance (c’est-à-dire qui viennent juste d’embrasser l’islam et dont la foi est encore faible). N’êtes-vous pas contents de voir les gens repartir avec des biens, tandis que vous repartez avec le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) chez vous ? Par Allah, ce que vous emportez est bien meilleur que ce qu’ils emportent. » Les Ansar ont répondu : « Oui, ô Messager d’Allah (ﷺ), nous sommes satisfaits. » Puis le Prophète (ﷺ) leur a dit : « Après moi, vous verrez d’autres personnes être préférées à vous. Soyez patients jusqu’à ce que vous rencontriez Allah et Son Messager au bassin d’Al-Kawthar (un bassin au Paradis). » (Anas ajoute :) Mais nous n’avons pas été patients

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ، أَخْبَرَنَا شُعَيْبٌ، حَدَّثَنَا الزُّهْرِيُّ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّ نَاسًا، مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ قَالُوا لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم حِينَ أَفَاءَ اللَّهُ عَلَى رَسُولِهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم مِنْ أَمْوَالِ هَوَازِنَ مَا أَفَاءَ، فَطَفِقَ يُعْطِي رِجَالاً مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ الْمِائَةَ مِنَ الإِبِلِ فَقَالُوا يَغْفِرُ اللَّهُ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يُعْطِي قُرَيْشًا وَيَدَعُنَا، وَسُيُوفُنَا تَقْطُرُ مِنْ دِمَائِهِمْ قَالَ أَنَسٌ فَحُدِّثَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ بِمَقَالَتِهِمْ، فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَى الأَنْصَارِ، فَجَمَعَهُمْ فِي قُبَّةٍ مِنْ أَدَمٍ، وَلَمْ يَدْعُ مَعَهُمْ أَحَدًا غَيْرَهُمْ، فَلَمَّا اجْتَمَعُوا جَاءَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ " مَا كَانَ حَدِيثٌ بَلَغَنِي عَنْكُمْ ". قَالَ لَهُ فُقَهَاؤُهُمْ أَمَّا ذَوُو آرَائِنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فَلَمْ يَقُولُوا شَيْئًا، وَأَمَّا أُنَاسٌ مِنَّا حَدِيثَةٌ أَسْنَانُهُمْ فَقَالُوا يَغْفِرُ اللَّهُ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يُعْطِي قُرَيْشًا وَيَتْرُكُ الأَنْصَارَ، وَسُيُوفُنَا تَقْطُرُ مِنْ دِمَائِهِمْ. فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " إِنِّي أُعْطِي رِجَالاً حَدِيثٌ عَهْدُهُمْ بِكُفْرٍ، أَمَا تَرْضَوْنَ أَنْ يَذْهَبَ النَّاسُ بِالأَمْوَالِ وَتَرْجِعُونَ إِلَى رِحَالِكُمْ بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم، فَوَاللَّهِ مَا تَنْقَلِبُونَ بِهِ خَيْرٌ مِمَّا يَنْقَلِبُونَ بِهِ ". قَالُوا بَلَى يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَدْ رَضِينَا. فَقَالَ لَهُمْ " إِنَّكُمْ سَتَرَوْنَ بَعْدِي أُثْرَةً شَدِيدَةً، فَاصْبِرُوا حَتَّى تَلْقَوُا اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَلَى الْحَوْضِ ". قَالَ أَنَسٌ فَلَمْ نَصْبِرْ.

Narrated Anas bin Malik:When Allah favored His Apostle with the properties of Hawazin tribe as Fai (booty), he started giving to some Quraishi men even up to one-hundred camels each, whereupon some Ansari men said about Allah's Messenger (ﷺ), "May Allah forgive His Apostle! He is giving to (men of) Quraish and leaves us, in spite of the fact that our swords are still dropping blood (of the infidels)" When Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) was informed of what they had said, he called the Ansar and gathered them in a leather tent and did not call anybody else along, with them. When they gathered, Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) came to them and said, "What is the statement which, I have been informed, and that which you have said?" The learned ones among them replied," O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! The wise ones amongst us did not say anything, but the youngsters amongst us said, 'May Allah forgive His Apostle; he gives the Quraish and leaves the Ansar, in spite of the fact that our swords are still dribbling (wet) with the blood of the infidels.' " Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) replied, I give to such people as are still close to the period of Infidelity (i.e. they have recently embraced Islam and Faith is still weak in their hearts). Won't you be pleased to see people go with fortune, while you return with Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) to your houses? By Allah, what you will return with, is better than what they are returning with." The Ansar replied, "Yes, O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ), we are satisfied' Then the Prophet (ﷺ) said to them." You will find after me, others being preferred to you. Then be patient till you meet Allah and meet His Apostle at Al-Kauthar (i.e. a fount in Paradise)." (Anas added:) But we did not remain patient

ہم سے ابوالیمان نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم کو شعیب نے خبر دی، کہا ہم سے زہری نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ مجھے انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ نے خبر دی کہ جب اللہ تعالیٰ نے اپنے رسول کو قبیلہ ہوازن کے اموال میں سے غنیمت دی اور آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم قریش کے بعض آدمیوں کو ( تالیف قلب کی غرض سے ) سو سو اونٹ دینے لگے تو بعض انصاری لوگوں نے کہا اللہ تعالیٰ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی بخشش کرے۔ آپ قریش کو تو دے رہے ہیں اور ہمیں چھوڑ دیا۔ حالانکہ ان کا خون ابھی تک ہماری تلواروں سے ٹپک رہا ہے۔ ( قریش کے لوگوں کو حال ہی میں ہم نے مارا، ان کے شہر کو ہم ہی نے فتح کیا ) انس رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو جب یہ خبر پہنچی تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے انصار کو بلایا اور انہیں چمڑے کے ایک ڈیرے میں جمع کیا، ان کے سوا کسی دوسرے صحابی کو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے نہیں بلایا۔ جب سب انصاری لوگ جمع ہو گئے تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم بھی تشریف لائے اور دریافت فرمایا کہ آپ لوگوں کے بارے میں جو بات مجھے معلوم ہوئی وہ کہاں تک صحیح ہے؟ انصار کے سمجھ دار لوگوں نے عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! ہم میں جو عقل والے ہیں، وہ تو کوئی ایسی بات زبان پر نہیں لائے ہیں، ہاں چند نوعمر لڑکے ہیں، انہوں نے یہ کہا ہے کہ اللہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی بخشش کرے، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم قریش کو تو دے رہے ہیں اور ہم کو نہیں دیتے حالانکہ ہماری تلواروں سے ابھی تک ان کے خون ٹپک رہے ہیں۔ اس پر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ میں بعض ایسے لوگوں کو دیتا ہوں جن کا کفر کا زمانہ ابھی گزرا ہے۔ ( اور ان کو دے کر ان کا دل ملاتا ہوں ) کیا تم اس پر خوش نہیں ہو کہ جب دوسرے لوگ مال و دولت لے کر واپس جا رہے ہوں گے، تو تم لوگ اپنے گھروں کو رسول اللہ کو لے کر واپس جا رہے ہو گے۔ اللہ کی قسم! تمہارے ساتھ جو کچھ واپس جا رہا ہے وہ اس سے بہتر ہے جو دوسرے لوگ اپنے ساتھ واپس لے جائیں گے۔ سب انصاریوں نے کہا: بیشک یا رسول اللہ! ہم اس پر راضی اور خوش ہیں۔ پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ان سے فرمایا ”میرے بعد تم یہ دیکھو گے کہ تم پر دوسرے لوگوں کو مقدم کیا جائے گا، اس وقت تم صبر کرنا، ( دنگا فساد نہ کرنا ) یہاں تک کہ اللہ تعالیٰ سے جا ملو اور اس کے رسول سے حوض کوثر پر۔“ انس رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا، پھر ہم سے صبر نہ ہو سکا۔
